It seems President Trump still needs more time with a black sharpie to redact the Epstein files before releasing them.

Not quite sure what to make of this, but Goosesteppin' Congressman Lyin' Troy Nehls abruotly announced he was resigning from Congress today. :oops:

EDIT: Some folks are doing the research here.

  • Nehls TX-06 received the Greg Abbott blessing of 12% more Hispanic voters as a result of the Texas Mid-Decade Redistricting Boondoggle.
  • These cholos were supposed to be part of the new wave of "Hispanic Republicans".
  • Preliminary polls show that they were not.
  • Greg Abbott made Nehl's district inadvertently "competitive for Democrats",
  • The conspiracy-theory spewing Congressman Troy Nehls, who build his "brand" around hating
    those people" who spoke Spanish, realized that He. Was. Fucked.

Now that the American holiday has passed - let us focus again on other important things - like the Epstein Files - and the thousand plus young girls who were abused at the hands of the now dead pedophile, his chief co-conspirator in her resort accommodations and all of the Johns - whom the government and the aspiring dictator protects - still

This redistricting can get tricky. If you gerrymander so that your party holds a 51% edge in all district. but one, where you dump the opposing party's voters, you may be able to scoop up a lot of seats. On the other hand, if things swing too far against you (like, say, the President's approval rating is in the toilet because of inflation, unavailability of medical care, cutting of programs for the poor and elderly, etc.), you could end up losing all those carefully crafted districts when, instead of getting the planned 51%, you get only 49%!

Yup. Way back when I lived in Georgia, in 1994 Newt Gingrich (speaker of the House) gerrymandered the Georgia delegation by cobbling together a coalition of the KKK offshoots and the....NAACP?

It redrew lines to guarantee 10 white seats and 2 "nigra" seats and was called MAX BLACK. It worked but black rural/exurban folks soon found that they had little to no say, which resulted in more fringe lunatic Republicans year after year (Marjorie Taylor Greene for example). They've since evened the playing field out

I was on a business trip to NY City ages ago, before Donald Trump was anything other than a racist working for his father's real estate company and people told stories about how crooked he was!
 
I think the trump dumpster team are waiting for the last moment (they had 30 days to release the files) to be in-line with ghislaine maxwell's filing for release from her prison sentence; once she files, it makes a whole lot of the material stuck in the works because of it being 'related to an ongoing legal process'
