I’m so old I remember…

Did anyone else play an outdoor game called "manhunt" when they were kiddos? I forget the rules of it, but it was a fun game.

Sardines was a game played outside. One kid goes off to hide. Everyone else goes off to find them. When one person found them, they stayed with them. The loser was the last person to find everyone.

What was dead lions?
Then no, I've never played Sardines.
Dead Lions was similar to statues if you've ever played that. Stautes you had to stand very still ..like a statue if you moved or twitched, you were out. Dead Lions was the same, but lying down

We played sardines. Don’t know if that was similar

we played dead lions, I don't think I've ever played sardines

We played capture the flag. We had a perfect set up in that there were three houses with kids all in a row, so one could be one base, one could be the other base, and the middle one could be the neutral zone.

Sardines was best in houses with old wardrobes and small cupboards under staircases and other Narnian spaces. One of my schoolfriends was the son of a vicar and lived in a large manse.
