The conclusion is clearly printed at the top of page one and was verified under oath in two court proceedings and was corroborated with a separate independent autopsy as well as review by a separate medical examiner.

The coroner's report said Floyd died of heart failure. So too will the report of someone who dies of natural causes in a hospital. Thus, this line in the report isn't as damning as you'd like to think it is. It is akin to saying someone's death was a homicide without understanding that homicide merely means the death of a human being by another. That doesn't automatically make homicide illegal. Neither does heart failure automatically mean that the decedent's death wasn't caused by another.

Second; Testimony about police procedures falls into 1 of 2 categories. It's irrelevant in either of those 2 categories because the accuracy of what's in the manual isn't the basis for Floyd's death; and, 2, merely following orders/procedures isn't a valid defense.

Third; Floyd was in custody at the time of his death. That alone creates a unique situation whereby the State, via its officers, is responsible for the welfare of the person in custody. Guess who didn't do that and who ACTIVELY prevented it from happening.

In the end, an appeal, at the core, hinges on only 1 question: Was there clear error that prejudiced the outcome? The answer here is, no. Nothing that was testified to at the trial changes what was captured on video and it was the video which convicted Chauvin.

The video is what also convicted the other officers by their failure to intervene to attempt to save Floyd's life. They had an affirmative duty to intervene and did not. By that failure they became co-actors and are just as culpable.

And finally, had any of them stopped what was happening and allowed paramedics to try to help Floyd, NONE OF THEM would have been responsible had Floyd died anyway. Which is where, ultimately, the line was crossed by all concerned.

You need to take a step back and understand that what you're saying isn't relevant nor is it the law. It's an emotion based narrative designed to invoke an anti-social response.
