Ah…the pivot begins…The only way to see things differently would be to suggest orders aren't lawful.
Probably look at what the government is doing in the open sea.
Hint: not lawful
The implication from our esteemed members of the senate are they ARE unlawful, but when asked to go on the record…they simply couldn’t say? Odd, no?
What the government is doing in the open sea is lawful and has precedent from the Dalai Bama (peace be upon him) era drone strikes. Congress carved out certain exceptions to Posse Comitatus…mainly maritime and counter narcotics support.
I will agree this is new territory, but your sources saying it’s illegal are wrong.
One more thing I want to circle back to. How not only is this seditious activity from our senators, but just how irresponsible their little ruse is. See, what you and the other Little Piggy’s don’t understand is the burden of proof of Illegality of orders is on the service member!
They are not only encouraging our military into possibly committing sedition, but by not explaining that it is all on them…well. I’m guess’n Ol’ AstroBoy won’t be coming to help a low ranking naval tar in his defense.
