It was lashing it down in Cork so I just had to have a final pint and like the Red Sea, the waters parted allowing me to wander back to hotel in the dry, via a kebab shop. Sometimes it’s better if the weather is shit.

The pint was jolly decent but because the rain had then stopped, I decided to detour for a kebab on way back to hotel, which with hindsight wasn’t the best move I’ve ever made. If it had still been lashing down, I’d have come straight back

Its not light here yet, but i can see the sky is cloudy, and I can hear the birds singing.

It is one of those grey, but oddly beautiful mornings here - the sun is colouring the clouds in oranges and pinks hues as it is rising.

The birds are singing here as well, but mostly I can hear some dogs barking.
- my cat is looking very offended right now though, I think he is trying to tell me that I need to close my window again, enough fresh morning air.

One had the surprisingly good sense to put the rubbish in the bathroom and close the door, so it’s not too bad. I will dispose of the evidence shortly when I go out for breakfast.

Note to self though, don’t do it again!
