Writing in public

I think they would do really well if they had a subtle, more artistic logo that people who know would recognize and it would be only mildly suggestive to people who did not know the site.

Almost like a secret handshake.

Is this like that upside-down pineapple thing?

I only write at my computer. I take notes on my phone, a lot of notes, but can't actually write on it. I bought a small laptop for writing on holidays and city breaks and have taken it on multiple trips with me, but genuinely never opened it a single time on any of them. I'll still keep taking it though, in the hope that I will use it eventually

I got a tablet mostly for watching TV, and an external keyboard. But I need a better keyboard - the one it came with is so small compared to my desktop that it's hard for me to use.

Something LitE or LE?
or, honestly, the [lit] logo on the forums would work as-is.

I’ve never been particularly concerned about someone looking over my shoulder. If I write in public it’s almost always by hand, and I can barely read my own writing.

To me it’s a bit like worrying whether someone can see into gaps in my curtains or otherwise see into my house: I will observe the generally agreed-upon social rules for propriety; beyond that if you really want to snoop it’s on you if you see something you weren’t prepared for.

I don’t talk at parties about the dirty stuff I write, because I don’t want to make people uncomfortable. But I’m not ashamed of it, if someone wants to poke their nose in.

I do write in public and I try to be mindful of whether someone who could see my screen would be bothered. Funnily enough, one time when I messed up I was on a bus and a young lady (20s or maybe youthful 30s) was sitting next to me and all of the sudden I realized that if she had glanced at my screen she might have seen some very "interesting" descriptions of physical realities. I actually got the sense that she was curious but trying not to get caught. So I scrolled back to a more romantic scene and started revising there lol

This is an advantage of mostly writing on my phone. Though there have been a couple times on the bus where I've been just in front of the raised seats and can feel the glare of a church-going lady, and decided to leave my editing until later.
