The "I don't want to talk about AI" thread, and the new topic is: am I a joke to you?

It's Friday! So, what are the plans for the weekend?

I'll be watching England take on the All Blacks on Saturday, and then the redhead and I have a fancy lunch planned on Sunday. In between that: workety-work-work. Someone has to earn those eurobucks.
I am going to be working and trying to force people to listen to an excellent new voice artist...

I Love You - Audio

If for no reason other than to get people to seek them out for their own stories. Particularly emotional ones. Such a damn good read of the emotions...

Like... I just want to give them all of my poems and tell them to have at it because I know they can do the words more justice than I could.

An animator I know (in the industry for over 15 years) listened to it and even they said it's top tier voice work.

Use this as an audition reel. See if their voice might work for any stories any of you might want to put a voice to.

The audio side of Lit can be such a dead space if you aren't already established and this person has the talent and skill to go far. I want to see them succeed here.

About a year ago someone was going to do an audio of Life and Death of the She-Wolf. I was excited about it, they seemed excited about it, we exchanged a few messages, and then it fizzled out. I suspect real life got in the way. I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed.
Honestly, that's what I expected with this, but Rev delivered beautifully. And I'm still astonished that they were the one to reach out to me for it.

I have already advertised their work more than I have ever advertised my own, lol. They might be my words, but Rev gave them life.

Ah! Well, please confine all AI-related drinking to the appropriate threads. This is a place where mature people engage in serious debate, with only occasional mentions of boobs and eggs.
You forgot hairless cats

And wait, are you saying egg discussion is ok again? Because I'm looking for a way to make my scrambled eggs fluffier.

*still allergic to eggs*

However, for fluffy eggs: a bit of milk, whip them vigorously and cook over low. Don't stir constantly, just sorta let them cook and pull them toward you here and there to get the still runny bits into the pan and then cooked bits away from the direct heat.

And don't let them cook until they are dry in the pan, a little wet, carryover cooking will finish them up. But the key is a little moisture, patience, and low heat.

we have ducks and I've been told that many people allergic to eggs can actually eat duck eggs without issue. Though I'm legally required to tell you to have an epipen on hand if you intend to try

But I've never eaten a duck egg either. I've heard they have a very strong taste. My MIL is allergic to chicken and eggs and we tried to get her to try a duck egg but she's so far refused.

I was always told about the milk and did that (and had fluffy eggs), but I had a lactose intolerant family member and had to stop using the milk. It made very little difference for me. Low heat, frequent flipping in the pan and a pan that has just a bit of cohesion so the eggs don't run out flat too much. I recently swapped pans and they are much less fluffy now. :(

For some reason the thought of duck eggs makes me gag a little.

I'm weirdly not allergic to chicken. And thankfully eggs don't.csuse anaphylaxis in me, just get hella sick and itchy for a day.

If I become allergic to chicken, I am basically fucked. It's the only animal meat I can eat.

Use water instead. It's just to create steam while cooking.

From what I've been told, it should make you gag. I ain't trying them. But we have a couple people we give them to for that reason.

Huh, interesting. My MIL can't have any chicken or turkey at all. Nor anything made with eggs which rules out a shit tonne of foods as I'm sure you know.

I grate cheese into the scrambled eggs when they're nearly done. That makes them creamy, though, not fluffy. And it works with just about any cheese I've tried, including goat's cheese and sheep's cheese.
The goats and sheep aren't pissed that you're stealing their cheese?
