New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani

Don't diagree. The "eat the rich" taxes are what I was thinking of. And "free" is a misnomer. You pay for it via taxes. Now a clean well-run low-cost crime-free public transport system would be great.

Living wages? Agreed, which is why we need to start by deporting all the illegals and people who shouldn't be here who are dragging American wages down, as well as on-shoring all the jobs that were exported by the uniparty aparatchniks. THat, and breaking up the large business that destroyed so many small businesses ober the last 7 decades. Walmart. Costco. Target. Walgreens. Agricultural monoplies. Gas station chains. They all need to be broken up. We need to go back to a small business owner-operator model. You lose the economies of scale but yu regain community and a stable middle class.

We have been doing the exact same thing Rome did that ended up destroying Rome. It's not an exact equivalent but it is very very close.
You're a fucking idiot, Dave.

MAGAs truly hate examples of good government from outside the US. It’s really weird.

Thing is, you have a very different population base in Australia. You live in a high trust society (for now, altho it seems Melbourne an Sydney are losng that) with a relatuvely low level of corruption and crime. Things like public transport work but in many places in the US, catching public transport is high risk, with no consequences for crime (the consequences seem to come to the people who try and stope crime - Daniel Penny being a case in point)

We could revert to a high trust society - but what Trump is doing with deporations is only a small step on the path to doing that. Jailing everyone who commits 3 crimes + for life (REAL life) would be another necessary step. Breaking up large busibesses and bring wages back to the levels of the 50's would be another. Nne if them easy and all of them opposed by Democrats.

Crazy person demonstrated exactly what I stated. 👍

“We can’t copy successes from other nations because ‘Murica is uNiQuE!” And in Chole’s case “unique” means there are some brown people living here.

By the way, America is a “high trust society” except for right wing nuts who are afraid of their own shadows. 😆 Riding public transit isn’t “high risk”. There are consequences for crime (except for corrupt politicians pardoned by Crooked Donnie). Republicans offer far more support to “large busibesses” than Democrats who support regulation. As usual, you’re making things up and becoming upset by the things you made up.

Bro they think racism will stop him. If it was going to stop him it would have happened before he became mayor 😝👍🏽

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell did their part to get Marxist Mamdani elected…

November 5, 2025 (19 hours ago)

New York City didn’t wake up one morning and elect a foreign Marxist mayor by accident. That didn’t “just happen.” It’s the final act of a political show that’s been running for years. And it wasn’t just the dastardly Dems who helped produce it. None of this could’ve happened without Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell—the “super polite” Republican leaders who smiled, stalled, and sabotaged Trump’s legal immigration reforms during his first term, at a time when it would’ve mattered most and could have actually changed the course of history.

Had the two globalist stooges backed Trump’s plans to cut and control legal immigration, to bring some sanity back to who enters, works, and votes in this country, New York wouldn’t be where it is now: overrun, broke, and proudly Marxist. Instead, they laughed it off. They rolled their eyes. They told the base it was too “harsh,” too “divisive,” too “politically risky,” and “that’s not who we are…”

And now, this is where we’ve wound up. The very people who mocked Trump’s warnings built the conditions that made Mamdani’s rise to power possible. And mark our words, he’s only getting started.

As you can see, Democrats didn’t win these cities with their great, lofty America First ideas. They won them with imported voters. Foreign-born blocs, groomed and organized by the left, now decide elections in US cities that Republicans surrendered eons ago.

Even you should be above replacement theory bullshit.

Lol....this made me laugh

The United States didn't wake up one morning and elect a pedophile fraudster racist felon bully by accident.

All those supporters of those characteristics did it quite deliberately.

You'll be laughing when the country goes up in smoke.

"Using apocalyptic rhetoric is often a tell, when someone resorts to predicting doom, it can be a sign they don’t actually have any practical solutions to offer. It’s easier to scare people with visions of the end than to engage with the messy, complicated work of real-world problem-solving. So, maybe before preaching about inevitable catastrophes, it’s worth asking: what’s the plan "if" the world keeps spinning tomorrow?"

I wonder if anyone can guess which 'genius' wrote that on the "EVERYONE hates RobDownSouth for his brainwashed vulgar stupidity" thread?

(It's #18 if you really can't guess...).

The right's stages of grief are hilarious to observe.

Even funnier is watching the people opposed to Islamism advocating for Islamist laws.

Democrats with backbone don't tremble in fear that MAGAts will define them in a negative light.

🙄

Decent, intelligent ACTUAL Democrats do NOT “tremble in fear” about anything, but we / they DO objectively / rationally assess past events & outcomes and project / anticipate the potential for those events & outcomes repeating themselves in the future, in a similar environment / under similar circumstances.

👍

And to be fair, it was NOT ONLY the MAGAts who defined the ACTUAL Democratic Party, it was far left radicals who helped the MAGAts define the ACTUAL Democratic Party, as those far left radicals tried (and FAILED) to hijack the Democratic Party and its infrastructure (unlike how the far right radicals SUCCESSFULLY hijacked the old republicans party and its infrastructure).

Ironically / coincidentally, many of the far "left" radicals have a fuckton in common with the far right radicals.

I would argue that the far "left" (many certainly aren’t progressive) radicals’ efforts to define the ACTUAL Democratic Party platform contributed to DonOld & the MAGAt republicans’ success in 2024 more than anything DonOld & the MAGAt republicans’ did to define the ACTUAL Democratic Party platform (JUST LIKE IN 2016).

The far left AND the far right are basically accelerationists who are determined to “burn it all down” - with the demented illusion (delusion) that a fucking Phoenix will rise from the ashes (they’re going to reinvent the wheel).

👎

We. Told. Them. So.

🌷

In Australia the people are subjects (not citizens there is a difference) of the crown.... very similar to cattle or hogs or sheep, all live at the "will" of the crown, basically the people of Australia are property of the king...... fuck the king/queen 🤮
No, we are citizens. (I'm a citizen of both countries.) As far as I know, it's only the UK where they still call themselves subjects. It doesn't apply to commonwealth countries.
Don't diagree. The "eat the rich" taxes are what I was thinking of.
But you apply that label to ANY progressive taxation whatsoever, no matter how modest.
And "free" is a misnomer. You pay for it via taxes.
As I always tell people on your side of the aisle when they accuse us of wanting "free" stuff. Thank you for at least being honest about it this time.
Now a clean well-run low-cost crime-free public transport system would be great.
And as of now, you have no reason to think that won't be just what NYC gets. You are aware of exactly one relatively recent case of violent crime on the NYC subway, because it fits the deplorables' agenda so very well. The trains are not crawling with predators, no matter what Fox News or Newsmax told you.
Living wages? Agreed, which is why we need to start by deporting all the illegals and people who shouldn't be here who are dragging American wages down, as well as on-shoring all the jobs that were exported by the uniparty aparatchniks.
Would that it were that easy. But it's a complex, systemic problem, and the worst of it can be traced directly back to 40 years of Randian economic policy that prioritizes letting the rich get richer above all else. Want to stop companies from hiring illegals? That wouldn't really be so hard to do, but you would have to pass and enforce some substantial labor laws, and three guesses as to which party has been blocking those for decades.

They all need to be broken up. We need to go back to a small business owner-operator model. You lose the economies of scale but yu regain community and a stable middle class.
You are literally advocating for exactly the same thing as the party you hate here, do you even realize that?

You're a fucking idiot, Dave.
My name really is Dave. This always throws me for a loop!

I don't know who told you that, but they're not from Melbourne or Sydney. And those relatively low crime levels are because we have a much stronger safety net. When people get desperate, there's help available.

Things like public transport work but in many places in the US, catching public transport is high risk, with no consequences for crime (the consequences seem to come to the people who try and stope crime - Daniel Penny being a case in point)
Penny was acquitted, remember? Besides, that's literally the only recent case you have to point to.
We could revert to a high trust society - but what Trump is doing with deporations is only a small step on the path to doing that.
What Trump is doing is giving desperate Americans an acceptable target to hate, nothing more or less. it is not going to help in any way.

Jailing everyone who commits 3 crimes + for life (REAL life) would be another necessary step. Breaking up large busibesses and bring wages back to the levels of the 50's would be another. Nne if them easy and all of them opposed by Democrats.
Bill Clinton signed a three strikes law in 1994, and the only people calling for increased regulation and monopoly busting are left-wingers of the variety you love to hate. You're not wrong that mainstream Democrats oppose them, but so do almost all Republicans.
