Since I came back in September I have received maybe three or four unsolicited PMs from newish accounts that ask innocuous questions in awkward grammar.

I think that each one was somehow in the "textile industry."

Not sure if it a form of hog butchering coming to Lit, or just weird people finding their way here.

Those are the fake accounts that I seem to find (or that seem to find me)

It is "PIG Butchering"

Pretty much a long term scam usually via text from an unsolicited person that can lead to sharing information that allows access to assets and accounts

Well, that sounds less sinister than originally thought and I’m kind of glad it’s that scam and not something else
