My Winter Holidays story is 20,000 words of continuous sex

Is that what we mean with slow burn? The chafing of sex described in 20.000 words?

It interests me how you can write 20.000 words of continuous sex and still have a coherent story. I'm writing a short story where the sex follows the power struggle that wars between the lines, but that's much shorter.

I once read a manga that didn't have any women even as background characters. There was even a dad in one scene with his son. O.O It was like, "Where do all the people come from?" A world populated only by women makes slightly more sense to me.

When I was younger, I used to bring home every lost animal I found. I can’t count how many kittens, pups, pigeons, even ravens, hedgehogs, and mice I saved. I couldn’t bear their helplessness, their sadness. Back then, I didn’t know that behind every cheerful face hides a weary, sad soul. Now? I couldn’t care less.

Well that's a bit sad. I just liked the idea of a Lesbians Guild.

I'm curious if there's much call for slow burn erotica. I've been working on a story off and on for a while, and the story just guided me, instead of the other way around. I'm 8000 words in and there's no sex... yet. Should I even bother publishing it? Is there much call for slow burn?

Slow burn definitively can work in any genre. I have a 20K story in R/NC with only 2 sex scenes. It has a rating of 4.60 (3rd highest for me). I did write a warning that it was a slow burn given the category.

I love the story so far, but I'm just not sure I should bother sharing it here when it is ready.

Publish it when it is ready. I am sure that it will be a good read

Slow burns are my favorites. Character depth and romance are more appealing to me than just sex, but that's just me. I know there are others like me, evident in the comments and ratings on slow burn stories, but I'm not sure how large that number is. I'd love to read your story.

I try and make my stories slow burns, it's personal preference for me.
