I bet u got sunHappy Friday everyone. Should be a great day outside here in Texas![]()
I would say that Midland, TX is a wealthy "small" town.My kid lives in a wealthy small town of 11,000
Thanks! That'd be appreciated! There is a book written about the “gut” feeling which I also rely on too. I will try to locate it and post it here. I read it a long time ago.
28 on 14 off... basically a 30/12 when you count the drive.Sorry to hear that, brother.
I can’t remember your routine. Three weeks on and two weeks off?
Any chance for the recipe?Already made a vegetable bean and barley soup. I never freeze it is gone so quickly![]()
It really is... listen to your gut, people! No doubt! I'm a firm believer that the "gut feeling" that saves our asses is some type of "divine intervention" not indigestion!![]()
Fossil fuels are coming back.I would say that Midland, TX is a wealthy "small" town.
Virtually everything we see, use or touch in our daily lives is a result of fossil fuels.Fossil fuels are coming back.
I think so, not going away soon.Virtually everything we see, use or touch in our daily lives is a result of fossil fuels.
I LOVE cheesecakeI’ve always been in Northern New Jersey leaning person. So I prefer Jersey Pizza over South jerseys tomato pie. Jersey New York bagels cannot be topped in my opinion.
HOWEVER - NO ONE can make cheesecakes like all the joints down on Pasyunk ave in Philly. Gino’s and Pats are a joke in comparison.
And here, even though I’m more north New Jersey directed, I’ve always heard and used and saw a pork roll rather than Taylor ham. Pork roll is more a South Jersey term.
Anywayzzzz… I digress!
Or give me a kick in the posteriorJust bring dog collar and leash with you. And say "Old dog, new trick.", and shrug.
HR might get a kick out of it...
When I see sun here in Germany, I jump on the bicycle.I bet u got sun
Then just "lose your shit", throw things around and claim that the stress of dealing with people who don't listen is causing you to have a mental episode, ask for paid time off...Or give me a kick in the posterior
Yeah, there is no other reason for that town (Midland) even being there.Fossil fuels are coming back.
Into S&M?Or give me a kick in the posterior

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!![]()
Yes to everything. I miss being able to walk up to places for a slice. Or playing sandtrap golf on the beach in Ocean City to see who had to buy the next round.I’ve always been in Northern New Jersey leaning person. Had to Wiki Hardee's. I grew up near Darlington and always thought Hardee's was Cale Yarborogh's. At that time I was a big fan of the fries at Hardee's over the Mc N King.Since I’m from the state where Hardee’s was born…
I remember the original joints had a no-shit open fire grill with a sweaty kid flipping burgers on a grate. Oddly ours was right beside another burger joint that my parents went to when dating. The old fashioned roller skating waitress type place.
It’s family owned to this day (no more roller skating deliveries,) still there. The Hardee’s has long been torn down and replaced with a boat repair yard…
Ooooooohhhh yessss yessss indeedI LOVE cheesecake
The Gift of Fear by Gavin de Becker is fundamentally about trusing your gut instinct. It was recommended at a training I attended. I liked it so much, I bought a copy. I've referenced and recommended it numerous times since. There is a book written about the “gut” feeling which I also rely on too. I will try to locate it and post it here. I read it a long time ago.
In a pinch - sub radishes for potatoes and do the same.I need to find 2 recipes: one for roasted radishes.
Was it, Blink by Malcom Gladwell?
It’s a weird state… but a really good one! (Also too expensive…)Yes to everything. I miss being able to walk up to places for a slice. Or playing sandtrap golf on the beach in Ocean City to see who had to buy the next round.
Now I wish I could have a pork roll. The kind like at the bar on the corner. Dipped with a blob of broccoli rabe and sharp provolone on top. Juice dripping down my arms. With enough extra juice for the fries to soak up. My beer bottle so slimy the bartender didn't want to throw it in the return box. Once I discovered these, I never had another hangover. Ever.
There are so many things you can't get if you are not in New Jersey! Philly too. That smoked brisket at the Flyers games cannot be reproduced.
I do love the food there. I miss the people more. Coming from the south where everyone knew everyone, the comradery of the common in New Jersey is also a welcoming friendly I never experienced anywhere else.
