The "I don't want to talk about AI" thread, and the new topic is: wine (and/or boobies)

We eat eggs all the time, and still wind up doing this in the middle of summer. Only everyone we normally do that with moved away last year. 😬 So on top of freezing a bunch for winter, we also wound up scrambling a bunch and feeding them back to the chickens.

Wait, hol' up - You can freeze eggs?!

Yeah, you can either gently scramble them and then put them into ice cube trays. I think three cubes equals a large egg.

Or you can separate the whites and the yokes to freeze them. If you do this, then you must mix some sugar or salt into the yoke before freezing. Or you get a very unpleasant texture when cooked.

It's recommended that you thaw completely before cooking but I've found that they scramble just fine from frozen.

Again, in the interests of pedantry, the yellow mass in an egg is a yolk. A yoke is (usually) a wooden beam used to connect two animals together, such as to a cart or plow. I suppose there might be places where the vernacular meanings and/or pronunciations have merged or become scrambled, though. 😁

Yoke is also the upper chest/back/shoulder part of shirts and the fitted waist area of otherwise flowy skirts and such.
