Trump's petulance? Stop seeing things through "Orange Man Bad" prism. There are trade negotiations currently going on between the US and Canada. Some of those tariffs are justified.
Trump negotiated and signed the trade agreement with Canada and Mexico that Trump now throws tantrums about.
For the mayor of Ontario to use the *taken out of context as well as cherry picked* Reagan speech was a political hit peace.
It was a direct quote, used in a political ad. Nothing unusual about that.
Using the Reagan speech as a cudgel, imposing that message unfairly on a captive baseball audience for political reasons in my opinion was underhanded.
“Imposing”? It’s an ad. Are you against the ICE recruiting ads that are trying to hire officers away from local police forces?
The message was one sided and was meant to embarrass the US.
Yes. Political ads do that. Good job.
It did not allow for a rebuttal or a balanced response.
No ads allow for rebuttal, but Trump has been responding to it for days. Where have you been?
They call that indoctrination.
No, they call it an ad.
It was an attempt to mock US trade negotiations and the Trump administration.
Yes. Donnie is very mockable.
The Ad never mentioned Reagan putting extreme tariffs on Japan which would have informed fans* held hostage to political rhetoric*
Fans HeLd HoStaGe!! Have they been freed yet?
that although Reagan was a staunch free market advocate he found it necessary to impose tariffs on Japan at the time.
Yes, Reagan supported free trade. Hence the direct quote used in the ad. Good job.
I wish people would do their homework. Canada could create a better trade environment.
Canada signed the trade agreement Trump negotiated with them. What more do you want?
They taunt their miserable healthcare system as world class while living under the American defense umbrella consistently failing to pay their fair share while we Americans make up the difference. They use misallocated funds that should be used for THEIR defense to pay for their healthcare programs.
Other nations are under no obligation to spend excessive amounts of money on the military. That’s something the US has decided on its own and Canada’s military spending has zero impact on our decision making.
Their healthcare system, which costs about half of what we pay per capita, has no connection to military spending at all.
