It's not easy to get an appointment with an American doctor. If you are lucky you might see a PA at an urgent care facility.

That depends if you have a group HSA plan via your employer or independent insurance through the ACA. Having navigated the ACA for a few years I have found quality care without a ridiculous wait. I did not use that facility for my annual doctor visit. I have had great difficulty selecting a GP for my annual physical. Like you say it is difficult to find a doctor not a PA. When I had group coverage I was actually enjoying the Amazon doctors. Populated here so in office visits. No trouble setting them up. Labs and such are all handled in office so not multiple locations to visit. Once on independent coverage from ACA they did not accept my insurance. Visits were estimated 280$ plus procedures and tests. I'm ok with my new doc. But English may be her 3rd or 4th language. Very difficult to understand.
So much for if you like your doctor ou can keep your doctor.

Reagan, as much as he was a free marketeer, used tariffs to protect US manufacturing and level the playing field. Like Trump is doing today. Canada cherry picked the speech is my point.
