How lucky are you! That mid to late 80’s album was NOLA influenced grove if I remember? Bonnie and Lowell were good friends and they would perform together a lot. Even cut an album together way back in ‘72.


Went to a different concert last night. Son’s HS band was performing their fall concert. They had a NOLA percussion ensemble that he got to rock out the xylophone! The kids really did a great job with the seniors doing a very challenging piece to wrap it up.

The weekend starts early for me. Pull’n cork on a bottle of someth’n. Yer HMMZ…I soldier on (blatantly stolen from those cat vids I post from time to time🤣)

That’s the same procedure they did on my mother. That cement (that’s what they call it) mixture. Hope the Good Doc is on the mend and she doesn’t get some crazy ideas on the Oxy like crawling out of 4 foot windows like my momma did…

I knew they were good friends and had seen vids of her performing with LF in the late 70’s or early 80’s after they were famous. I didn’t know about this album till this morning searching the Oracle of All Knowledge (UToob) and found it! I’ve been listening to it as we speak!

PS…as much as I love Tedeschi Trucks…I was more excited to see Little Feat (don’t tell SWMBO)….partly because I’ve seen TTB several times, but mostly because LF was THE soundtrack of my youth! So so grateful they’re carrying on. If you get a chance to see them, again, don’t hesitate…they’re fantastic still.

Thanks for that! These are cool. Big stars performing with kids orchestras and bands. I’ve seen David Crosby and a few others do it. There was a series out of San Fran where they had a revolving door of stars come in and perform. I’ll see if I can’t find that.
