Watch this movie/film if you want a bit more of the story. I was in this record store a lot!!!
 
Reminds me of my misspent youth at city gardens and the west catasaqua playground building, the Cattyshack, Flemington VFW, Manville Polish American Hall, etc.

 
Song was going thru my head like a song worM this morning waking up for work.

Not really punk rock, but Roky was the man behind the 13th floor elevators.

And it’s a great song.

 
Hi Standard/Pizza of Death Records Ken Yokoyama's off-shoot band BBQ Chickens always put on a fun show...
(bonus points for spotting the cameraman wandering the stage in adult diapers... and about 10 minutes in shit gets spicy on stage....yeah J-punk is weird af)

I like a Shonen Knife l, Teengenrate as well as Electric Eel Shock.

 
I have always liked The Lurkers. I got one of their later 45s on Clay records when I was listening to a lot of English hardcore. I think discharge was on that label, maybe chaos UK. Then I found the Gods Lonely Men LP a few months kater. Don’t recall where but I was amazed by their super 77 style sound.

I never seen them and didn’t even get into them till the mid 80s, well after their prime.

Always liked them tho and appreciate their really good solid songwriting.



 
So for shits and giggles, I wanted to know more… found this book on Amazon. Lo and behold , it’s a signed copy by Pete “manic esso “ Haynes.
