They mock peaceful protests. What they enjoy are the violent, destructive, killing riots like 6 January.
 
Any major party will always be well stocked with people who love shouting, marching, and fighting. The bigger percentage may be people who need to do something they can believe is effective, but don't want to do the harder work that really is effective: listening to and debating with swing voters, the other party's voters, and anyone who shows up to speak at conversational volume, not with a megaphone, in every district, not just the safe districts or the swing districts, without insulting people who disagree. It's a long game. Protesters are short gamers.
