Archived Notification Feed

Oddly, pulling up the empty feed message is taking several seconds longer than the old feed did.
Yup - me too.

I think - maybe DB experts can confirm - it takes longer for SQL to say ā€˜no results’ than if it finds something. Can remember one of our IT guys saying.

Maybe the thread will reopen once they actually implement the changes.

Either way, I am sure @Manu would like our feedback. He showed time and again how deeply he appreciates it!

What a bunch of perverts we are. Every time I hear "I've got gadgets and gizmos a plenty" I think, that must be one hell of a toy collection.
Where I can walk, where I can run, where I can play all day in the su-un šŸŽ¶

Honestly dissapointed because I was hoping to get to 10,000 notifications on that center column. I hadn't touched the center collumn in years. I was at 9,000 something. Oh well, there are worse problems in life.

Depends on how the query is written. It can, but shouldn't. A no-op should be instantaneous.
Actually, now that I have the archive link.

It’s loading all the data just not showing it. When I click the archive link, it’s loads instantly. That tells me the data is there, it’s loading, just not showing on the ā€˜new’ page when it opens.

Maybe it's easier/better/more organized for Manu when we give feedback via Help -> New Feedback in our dashboards? As opposed to needing to parse a thread of indeterminate length, back-and-forth between users, etc..

It’s at the very bottom of the empty page you get. At the end of the paragraph about older notifications
Yeah, I can't find it there. It's the nothing here yet notification, then blank empty blueness, and then the usual bottom of the page buttons. I thought I'd opted into the beta version of the site, I'll go digging around though and see if I'd missed something.

Edit: like in @ChloeTzang screen shot.

Still not working. And I have opted into the beta version of the site. So I dunno, maybe I just need to be more patient.

After I opted in to Beta, it took about 15 minutes before it updated to show Older Notifications

I hate being a Beta Tester LOL. I NEVER opt in to be a guinea pig
