I think I am going to submit two here. I finished a draft of one of them today and I will let it sit and decide if it is something I really want to publish. Like The Great Cupcake Caper, it started as a joke that I am turning into a story, but T/I instead of Humor. A place even more foreign to me.

I think the parody rule would protect anything written here.What are people's thoughts on doing different versions of already established concepts and/or properties?
Because I have a concept for something about The Grinch *maniacal laughter
And even if not, a cease and desist would just take any offending material down. It’s not like we could be sued for the money we earn publishing here.

Now thinking of expanding it to maybe 30,000 words from the current 20,000
I’ve got a Letters story already written, and I’m partway through a Taboo/ Incest story. Novels and Novellas is the only category left that I haven’t written for this year, and I’m most “afraid” of it because I’ve never written anything that long…

This is going to be my first contest. Came up with my idea this morning and started putting notes together throughout the day as they came to me. Probably won't be able to get started until next week but then it'll be my main focus before submissions open

I was going to re-purpose my GeekPride2025 story since it is set over Christmas. It’s gone off the rails though, so I’m taking it back to its original purpose for GP26.

I have one story completed, Winter Loves Red. I have a second in consideration as it is out for edits, both for the contest but with huge trepidation.
