It could be dangerous. I saw a Zack D Films short about a woman who almost died because her husband kept farting under the blanket, and she, unfortunately, had the habit of sleeping with the blanket over her face.
Lots of fetishes can be dangerous. Knife/needle/blood play is right up there with "Hey, this could probably kill you if you aren't extremely careful" but that doesn't make it less arousing. Sometimes it makes it more arousing. *shrug*
Speaking from experience, it's the husband who's more likely to die in that situation.
