For my buddy Jerry who passed on Saturday. We were not the closest friends, but he was a great man. Maybe a bit of a mentor for me and he mentored many.

Old school AND new school. He surprised me with his ability to tie new tech to old machinery. He was a hands on renaissance man. An expert machinist, mechanic, pilot, self taught engineer and designer who had a few patents to his name. Taught himself how to program - knew python code and was a master around anything technical.

He was gruff but also had a heart as big as a house. He suffered no fools yet was open minded. An expert problem solver. I learned a metric shit ton from him.

I always knew he’d have an answer to any mechanical question or issue I had.

I had just slabbed some cherry wood - he had made a homemade solar kiln (of course he did that! ) to dry wood. I was taking it to him yesterday when I found out.

He died doing what he loved. He was 80 yo. He was a great man and I will miss the fuck out of him.

RIP, Sir! Get up and get it!
