The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I was 15 years. The director above me was 14. We just made too much money. I did not decide to leave. I wasn't finished with my 'earning years'.

Some companies just suck nationwide. Two of the last few were like that. Some of those bosses make a body wish they worked in multi-storey buildings so they'd have more opportunities to experience Things.

Hiya spoonies.

I worked this morning, then went exploring this afternoon.

First, I went to Sandy Hook and checked out the cool old fort there. Pretty bad ass, it was protecting New York Harbor. Then after World War II, it became a Nike anti aircraft missile base.

Badass fortresses.

Sandy Hook lighthouse. The oldest lighthouse in America.

I found this bad ass 16 inch artillery piece. It only weighs 153 tons.range 25,000 yards. (23 miles). You can see the rifling in the last pic.

@Wat_Tyler - I don’t think they’ll be able to ship it to your house.

Hey everyone — glad to be part of this community. I wanted to share something I’ve been struggling with and see if anyone’s open to talking.

My fiancée and I recently started a new lifestyle where she’s seeing another man. At first it felt exciting because she keeps me involved and honest about everything they do. I actually liked being part of it. But over time I’ve noticed their connection getting stronger, and that’s brought up a lot of mixed feelings. On one hand it still excites me; on the other, I feel insecure and a little threatened about where this might go.

It’s been weighing on me and making me feel pretty lonely — I don’t really have anyone in my personal life I can talk to about this. So I figured I’d put it out here. If anyone’s willing to chat or share similar experiences, I’d really appreciate talking through DMs. Thanks for reading.
Are you involved in their activities? Or just hearing about it? Have you discussed your feelings with your fiancé? If not, why?

I've not been your exact situation but I can tell you that communication in relationships is paramount. Neither of you is a mind reader. Take a quiet day with your girl and have a heart-to-heart with her. Just my 2 cents. 🫂

My dad used to make lemon pie. I recall it was not made often just special occasions probably for the same reasons- messy and lots of grating. I think I will stick with apple pie or preach crisp.
Yeah. I don't know how often I want to do this. I didn't use all the zest; it's in the freezer for later.

Baking is tough. It’s part art and part science. You should hear me cussing swearing when I make refrigerator cookies every Christmas that my mom used to make. And that’s me making the same recipe every year.

As opposed to cooking, where you just follow a recipe.

I’ll bet it’s awesome!!
They were pretty tasty. I always like to cut a little piece to taste it before I give anything away. Here's a cut piece.

My nephew made roll out cookies and told me he was upset because his brothers ate them all up but never helped in the making....

I told him now you know how it feels to be the baker of xmas cookies and i gave him tips on how to store/hide so he doesmt have to make 4 mire times for the season
One year I made a fuck ton of macadamia chocolate chip cookies to give away at Christmas. I lived with my boyfriend and our roommate who was a notorious chowhound.

My parents were visiting that year. I noticed the cookie pile was dwindling. I angrily mentioned to my mom that I was going to kick Paul's (roommate) butt for eating my cookies. She said, "Um, sweetie, I don't think it's Paul. I think it's your dad."

My tune instantly changed! "Oh, that's fine. Daddy can have what he wants. I can make more!" 🤣🤣

How did you get in... and why did you choose my sink?
This is the #1 reason I dislike being single. I need a Ambassador for the Insect Kingdom 😬
At list this one doesn't bite or sting.
They will scare the living :poop: out of me if they're actually still alive when I go to escort them off premises.

Are you sending a subliminal message with today's selection of phallic photographs? ;)
