Monday is almost over.. pick up dad at 815 from dialysis. Feed him dinner watch tv bed and start over tomorrow

Sure makes for a long day. Hope his dialysis goes well and the traffic is lighter for the drive home.

I hear fruit and nut trees don't need 14' holes - just the purely ornamental ones. You know, the ones tht don't have any presence in the food chain.

Oktoberfest is something else!!

We are having an oktoberfest festival in the town next door this saturday. I am volunteering with lions club. And i am making baked goods to sell at hs music booster festival on ssne day. Just bars and maybe some fudge... easy stuff

My nephew made roll out cookies and told me he was upset because his brothers ate them all up but never helped in the making....

I told him now you know how it feels to be the baker of xmas cookies and i gave him tips on how to store/hide so he doesmt have to make 4 mire times for the season

Well, Mrs. Wonderer and I are on one last adventure. This week I am working remotely and taking a bunch of half days and we’re at the Jersey shore….

I’m not quite sure, but we’re on the banks of navasink river ina gorgeous place we found on Airbnb. Close access to all kinds of good hiking and walking (and shopping for her).

Close access to the nude beach at Sandy Hook for me! (And maybe her)

I’ll take pictures of a few lighthouses for yaz.

Yes, real ones - literal ones. Not figuratively.

Black Forest cheesecake. The cherry filling is between the oreo crust and the chocolate cheesecake. I haven't cut it yet. Crushed oreos on top.

So update on the week is

Spencer is recovering well from the attack
The Police have investigated but won’t take any more action as he has behaved responsibly since the attack. He has offered to pay the costs and the dog has been destroyed
My daughter is getting over the trauma
They are safely home
I finished the week with a good day on the hill and
The geese are starting to return from Iceland to overwinter with us

I’ll check that out! It’s funny, all these years later I’m just sort of discovering the backgrounds of a lot of these bands I grew up with. Never paid attention or cared, not sure which, but I find it interesting to dig into the how and whys.

Didn’t do a damn thing yesterday. Watched football, ate, napped, and will maybe rinse and repeat today unless the kid hits me up t go fishing. It’s been hot and I’ve been unmotivated. Did catch the F1 race this morning so I can now get on with my day!

SWMBO is still recovering, so went and watched 24 Hour Party People…how have I never heard of this film?

I read Marr’s book and he talks about the Hacienda quite a bit. This kind of puts that timeline in perspective. Thanks for the heads up on that!
