The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Here's what I was compelled to send my daughter this morning... if somehow, even by my own fuckups, I had a thimbleful of anything to do with this, I can consider myself a success in life by "proxy."

Good morning Sweetheart!
I just want to Thank You for one of the most BEAUTIFUL days I've had in my life!!!
You are the most PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL daughter, mother, wife, and Lady that anyone could ever dream of and the way it shows in my beautiful grandchildren is a direct reflection on YOU!
KUDOS and Hat-Tip to ya!

I love taking pictures also. But now, I just use my phone. It's a better camera than anything I've ever had. My husband was very into photography during his younger years; he amassed a good collection of equipment. I will never use it. A friend suggested I see if the local high school would want it for art classes.
I read somewhere that more photos are taken w iPhones or phone cameras in general by a huge margin. I can say I do also…they’re so handy and as you say, they’re really all you need. Since I have the gear already, I feel guilty not using it. As a bonus it gets me out there and into a frame of mind to get some good shots. Art for arts sake!😂

Funny story…I dusted my old Pentax SLR film camera off and bought a disposable point and shoot for my then 6 yr old oldest son. We go to the river, took some shots of the city and boats. I rush the film and disposable off to the photo hut and wait the day or two. Take all the photos out and…HORROR OF HORRORS! The 6 yr old w a disposable took better shots than a “photographer” with a “real” camera and lenses. 😭😂

I was so damn disgusted, I put the camera away, and thinking back on it, I never took any film shots again!! 😂

My how my week off flies…getting ready, gotta run momma by the back doc, got laundry done yesterday…oh and SWMBO, doesn’t like my new frames so she wants to go pick out the one SHE likes🙄. I’m like have at it sister! I ain’t mov’n a muscle.

I've been blessed... I saw Pink Floyd at their first concert after the "breakup"...
Later in life, I went to see the 30th Anniversary of Roger Waters do The Wall.
Good times for sure!

I would still bankrupt myself to see Mark Knophler in concert! 🤣
Saw the Floyd in ‘88 at Carter Finley Stadium in RDU. It rained all day, so the tailgate portion was washed out, but man…when they opened the gates…we go in and our seats were on the east side of the stadium looking west. The sun dropped below the layer of clouds just as Dave hit the first note of Shine ON!

I think I can unequivocally say, it was the best concert I’ve ever attended!

Saw them again in ‘94 but not the same magic. Would love to see Knophler also…
