I popped back in tonight thinking of nerding out about watching Doctor Who with my son but found a message from a friend with a prompt suggestion! Since I love suggestions, I’ll do the other bit another time.

So, who’s your favorite sidekick?!

I’ve thought about it so much and it’s just so hard to choose! There’s Robin, Samwise, Chewbacca, Watson, Pedro, Donkey, so many others. How can you pick one?

At first I thought of Inigo Montoya or Hoggle. But I have to go with Hermione Granger for me. To me she’s the magical Samwise and she never left Harry’s side even when things got devastatingly hard and Ron walked away. Plus without her…total failure.

In a pop culture world full of tremendous sidekicks the absolute tip of the top, cream of the crop, once you pop you can't stop, best of them all has to be Gabrielle from Xena: Warrior Princess. Everything you could possible want at your side. Loyal, supportive, resourceful... and if you came of age during that time period then Xena and Gabrielle were definitely a part of your sexual awakening.

I think one of my favorite episodes is the one that paid homage to Twin Peaks. I also love any of the ones where Gus is being a scaredycat. I liked Shawn, but I related way more to Gus

I came here to post a new prompt and realized I haven’t seen many of your responses and have now forgotten what my prompt was

So, last night I was walking my son through a book report and he had to discuss rising action, conflict, climax, and resolution. I haven’t read the book and couldn’t help much and he needed to know what each breakdown meant.

The best way I could get him to understand was to reference Dragon Ball Z. His favorite storyline is the Cell Saga and his face when we went through every stage All of a sudden he knew how to answer every question in relation to the book!

It got my nerd going and now I’m wondering, if you like DBZ, what is your favorite Saga?

Mine is the Majin Buu Saga. It was just more fun with Mr. Sayan’s silliness and Buu turning everyone into chocolate and c’mon…“Bibidi” “Babidi” and “Buu”? It’s also when the fusion technique is introduced and I love Gotenks
