New story not posted?

This is not a Laurel please approve my story thread. I have a story scheduled to go live today, which usually means around 2AM east coast US time. But it is still sitting in pending, saying "Today" as publication date. I have only been here for less then six months and it was several stories in before I realized that the pending told me when it was approved/would be published.

Has any of the long term folks seen them not release stories? Did anyone else's story scheduled for today not get released? Or get released? Is this a me problem or a Manu problem?

hi im in the uk not a writer but the new stories come out here at 7.30 am its been my morning routine for years now. The last few days its been 8.30 to 9 am but today there is no new stories at all so defo think some thing has gone wrong with the updates

It sounds like a glitch in the matrix. Strange stuff sometimes happens. I think a lot of ‘processes’ here are semi-manual. As always, I’d PM Laurel and ask her.

+1 on Em's hunch. My day job is software engineering; most of the world runs on undocumented, unknown processes that nameless, forgotten people in cubicles run as part of their daily jobs. Laurel's probably having a sleep in.

August is always a bit slow, American summer holidays etc. Or, an upgrade of some sort in the works, maybe?

You could be right EB about an upgrade, Wednesday morning in August is probably a good time to do it.

I've said it before, I'll say it again; I use the Ronco™ technique.

I don't pay too much attention after I submit it. I know it's gonna be a day to a week, a few hours on a good day. I think somebody once said they saw the alleged post date change before while pending. I don't gush over stats either, so I don't know what Laurels done until I stumble over to the story site eventually. My grammar and punctuation are decent enough and it's clear folks are 18+, I ain't had nothing sent back in years.
