I remember, years ago during a hurricane, a semi-submersible broke loose, hit the Rowan jackup rig that we were servicing and put it on the bottom.
...the bigass semi, ended up on the beach!
You said “jackup rig”.

Honest question - what is that??? Do I wanna know??

Only time for a few page catch-up today.

Blackberries still going. Put 4 quarts in the freezer today. Also managed to get paint on the new sheet metal on rusty car. Waiting for some sealant to arrive, and can finally start putting that back together. I really want that out of the garage.

Next up, the field needs mowing, which will start tomorrow evening sometime.

Hopefully have some time tomorrow to do a more proper scan of the chatter.
Sounds like you’ve been busy!

We didn’t get nearly as many wild raspberries, but we pulled a few gallons out of the plants on the trails on our farm.

My granddaughter is still under the weather. My grandson dropped a heavy can on his feet. I am not sure I am taking them tomorrow to their daycare.

Relief from heat and humidity is one the way!

A good day with my friends too.

Have a good evening.
Sounds like a good day - cept the grands not feeling well and getting hurt.

Hope they’re both on the mend soon!

Huh - woulda thought it safer on the rig given their size... then again if they go down

*giggleSNORTwheeze* OMG - too much!! :geek:
Mine are built-in to my eyeglass lenses. Of course now I'm on the cusp of needing a power bump. So I'm constantly taking my glasses off to see something up close. Which is wild since I'm legally blind without my glasses. :ROFLMAO:

rookie then? 🤭
Go down... WONDERER!!!!!!!

Hurricanes are amazing things. So are tornadoes.

We had a windstorm Out West on 3 March 2023 that hit up around 60MPH. It did fuck up some shit. And that was just a very windy afternoon.
The storm we had the other night had winds up to almost 80mph. Glad I slept through most of that one. The wind from most storms comes from the direction my bedroom window faces. I know it won't shatter - but sometimes it rattles so loudly I wonder.
Hopefully have some time tomorrow to do a more proper scan of the chatter.
That's a lot of busy on your end... no worries about keeping up. Thanks for checking in though - we'd worry otherwise. 🫂

Woot - Win Column!!
Good thing the littles are so resilient. Hope they're both on the mend soon. 🫂
Largely packed. Partly loaded. Vehicle swapped out - the truck does road trippin' this week. Wat needs new office goodies. Plus, the truck rides better even if it does drink more petrol.

Time to dance the dance of the Sleep Weasels.

Of course you do :ROFLMAO:
I don’t know even where to start with this post, or sub dudes.

You said drippy, stiff AND protein balls (and a preemptive heh heh for protein balls for @Lilianna23 too!)
This has been so much fun today - thanks to everyone who played along 💖
Haha. I made a lot of logs today.
You said "logs" - that's gotta be a euphemism, right?

It's @Boat1 ... so I'll say prolly proceed with caution 😂
I feel your pain
Yes, we are in a Club I'd rather just quit :ROFLMAO:

So, 10:30am in his world translates to 1:30 in mine.
He got a fair bit done. Still have a few things to finish up tomorrow - not sure when he'll be back, but I'll be working so not really "trapped at home" like today.
We ended the night with him sending me on a snipe hunt for a 4" outer diameter toilet flange (aka escutcheon plate) for a 3/4" pipe.

So today was a busy day. I had a text thread going with my old army buddies that was hilarious. They jointly decided that to revoke my army driver T bar award. That is awarded for safety, no accidents, 8000 miles incident free for tracked vehicles.

I’m seriously most proud of that award than just about any other award.

Ironically I was driving the skidsteer and checking my phone every 15-20 mins.

I finished up and cleaned up the vehicle.

Then insanely decided to split a bunch of rounds that have been out for a few weeks. It was hot and f-in humid.

Finished up around 4, jumped in the pool and just chilled… went shopping, grabbed a slice of pizza for dinner…

Now just chillin and watching the Mets. Back to work tomrrow.

Really great that you reconnected with these guys!!
I can totally see them revoking and you objecting... can understand why you'd be proud of the T-bar...

uh-oh... new nickname? T-bar :ROFLMAO:
I’m glad he showed up!
same... now if the last few things would just get finished
