If he was part of a conspiracy involving people in the government to invent crimes against Trump and prosecute him with the intent of interfering with the election, or cripple his presidency once elected, you could be looking at 18 U.S.C. § 242, Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law, or 18 U.S.C. § 371, Conspiracy to Commit Offense or to Defraud the United States.

Maybe there’s more to the story than what I’ve seen posted in this thread. I just saw handwritten from a phone call that included Barr, who at time was a private citizen, out of government, and with no authority over anyone in government.
