The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I was picked on... it got better when I schooled a few bullies with a fist.... the they left me alone. My twin sister also stuck up for me
I was always picked on too. I was always taller than everyone with a bright red afro. This is part of the reason I think I was slightly on the spectrum as a kid. I remember thinking literally about their comments. I don't have a meatball shaped head; my body doesn't look like a spaghetti noodle; my family is from FL, why wouldn't I have a Bucs jacket. It was always water off a ducks back when I was a kid.

She did not have any defences that I recall. It would be most of us bratty kids at recess. I don't recall her in high school, I think the family may have moved. i think about her from time to time and wish I could appologize.
I had one very good friend. Her name was Susie figures and she had a limp. She was my best friend. She moved away and I never saw her again. I always wished that I could see her again. I periodically look for her but I can't find her

I lost one that way.

I went back to see a couple of others.

It's never the same.

Both my wife and I were picked on as kids.

I think we all were.

I was the outsider from another part of the state moving into a little
Hillbilly town. When my parents divorced I got really heavy. More picking on.

My wife has one leg longer than the other, so she had to always wear shoes w lifts. She was picked on too. Then she moved from a dairy farm in upstate NY to suburban NJ when her parents divorced.

I guess it made us whole are. Sensitive but at the same time tough.

It’s a mixed bag. I’ve gotten back in touch w some people and it wasn’t the same.

But then I’ve connected with others and it’s not like a minute has passed. For some reason I went back to my 25 years HS reunion. It was a lot of fun.

I mean some of the people - most of them - still suck. But there were some great ones. And I def rekindled some old relationships.

This September is my 40th year HS reunion.

I had such a productive day on Saturday! I even did some BOY jobs involving power tools! I bought a solar panel to charge the battery for one of my Ring cams.

I mounted it on the deck railing and then zip tied the extra cord. I found and used a drill to make pilot holes for the screws then changed out the bit for a screwdriver and got the mount attached. It was so satisfying to hear the thunk of the screws!

Some guys came to look at my pond/waterfall that hasn't run for over a year. Turns out the GFI was tripped. 🤯 They gave me a reasonable price to clean the mud, twigs, needles, and moss out of the pond. This will get done on Friday.

My helper came by today. We put together a rack system for tote boxes I got at Costco. It took us two hours to do it, but when we were done, I had a rack that holds five large totes. I labeled all the boxes; they have the outside Christmas lights in them. I have two more systems; they will get put together after Halloween when I put my Christmas village up. Right now, my village is stored in a mish-mash of 11 large totes. Hopefully, I can consolidate. However, I'm going to get one more system today. It's the last day of the coupon promotion for it at Costco. If it turns out I don't need it, I can always return it.

I got two new CDs. Ripped and added to my music files. I've been working on a playlist for my husband's COL memorial. This has been an important step for me. I'm slowly working towards making it happen.

And, I did some work on my nails. They're ready for paint. That will get done tomorrow after shopping.

I'm a tired girl! Off to bed now! Behave and mind OM! 🥰💝💞
Sounds like a great day!

A lot accomplished Personally, physically and mentally!

I guess you can hitch a ride. I worked with a guy that had a balloon. You have to have a whole crew to follow you and help in the recovery etc. I should have gone then.
So there’s the infamous “airspace incident” a few years ago. Mrs wonderer can confirm this:

Hunterdon County seems to have a lot of balloons. My wife and I were skinny-dipping in our pool and we heard the loud sound of them heating the balloon. A few seconds later, the balloon came just over our house, narrowly missing it and some trees that were right near it.

I have no idea why I got so incensed, but I jumped out of the pool, bent over, baring my ass and yelled “get out of my airspace!”

A woman in the basket remarked, “I believe that man just mooned me.”

In truth, I gave her a full backal. 😂

I think you are both wonderful... I would have been your friend
