New here to your beautiful and well crafted thread of intellectual and profound commentary! Sad to have missed some of your imagery but I’ll be sticking around! Your words sparked something in my mind because pain *does* heal us, not because it’s kind, but because it refuses to let us stay the same. It cracks the shell of who we thought we were, and in that breaking, we find the soft parts of ourselves which with time we’ve ignored or buried. There’s something almost sacred in the way suffering can strip us down to our most primal self, the part that knows only two things: *I am hurting* and *I must keep going*. It drags us back to the roots of our survival, to those old wounds and fears we thought we’d outgrown. And yet, it’s there, in that raw and honest place, that real change begins.
Beautiful words from you.
Why thank you for sharing that, we often get stuck in this idea that our pain is US, rather then a momentary state of emotion which yes can break us down, open and really shake our internal universe upside down. But the truth is it's necessary for change and growth, and when we come out of it we are always stronger, at least that has been my journey... ❣️💋
