The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Hello @riverj
I think you may be new to this particular thread?
So let me roll out the standard welcome here at the café

We run this thread a little differently.

Read the first post...goes over the "rules" so to speak.

I will summarize:
1. No religion
2. No politics
3. No drama
4. No hitting on the women-- dm the person if interested.... if they don't respond.... there is your answer.
5. For God sake read a profile before you dm the wrong person.
6. If your first post is heavy on the innuendo ..... you need to slow your roll

This thread is like the bar cheers or the corner coffee shop. We are FRIENDS here and not like other threads...we are fiercely protective of the vibe and each other. If this sounds like a place you would like, stick around.... if not there are eleventy billion other threads that will suit your needs.

To get an idea of the vibe I would scroll through the last 10 pages or so and you will see.

Thanks

From what I've seen so far, it seems like a good fit. Hope you like it and stick around.
Hi,
Thanks for the welcome.... nice to meet you. I have been around these parts for awhile and have crossed paths with some of these fine citizens before. I like the sanity that reasonable people provide. Happy 4th!

My dad called and he wanted me to come over... so I went and we had hotdogs and Cole slaw.... my sister said she would go over Tuesday and Thursday to help and i would take the other 6 days... well she didnt do either...well she did show up last sunday at 5 in the evening and stayed for 2 hrs. she also did show up Wednesday at the restaurant for dinner after I and my friends helped my dad mow 2 acres and trim the evergreen tree (drag the leaving to the burn pile)....

So the convo where we talked and she promised to help me take care of mom and dad so I dont get overwhelmed didnt mean shit.... lesson learned

Edit: i am apparently pissed off but I will get over it
The angry emoji is for your sister the rest for you @Missk_2022 🙂🤬❤️😘 🫂 What a great daughter!

The dog is reacting somewhat responsibly...... Karen is clueless

60's chevys are my wheelhouse..... 66 Chevelle is one of the best designs in my mind ever.

I prefer the 55 to the 57 Chevrolet. I like the everyday driver designs that Chevy went for.

The Lincoln Zephyrs and Chrysler Airflow of the late 30s are some of the best styles ( any mnfr ) ever IMO.

I do like the '65 Chevelle.

I also like the '65 Coronet.

I'd like to get a '56 Plymouth Savoy coupe.

The 'rents had one and I liked it a lot.

Quick update before I hit the road. Momma is home but in a lot of pain. No narcotics with this procedure so only Tylenol. She’s in a lot of pain, so hoping this will subside. She has lots of help so I don’t feel so bad. Hope all had a nice Independence Day! It sounded like an artillery barrage in Vegas!

Elwell Ferry MZ…yes this thing is still in existence!

It was good to spend some time with the large poodles, and Daisy the huge Lab girl, and Fred the (former) barn cat. Fred bit me and clawed me. Goats are good, chickens are good, ducks are good, outside cats are good. This pair isn't very social. No matter. Machines are put away. Packing has kinda commenced.

Dipshits have fireworks. Poodles great and small aren't fans.

I'm hit the rack then . . . .
Fred Fred Fred..... what is the matter...are you out of sorts?

But she is ethyls sister...soooo

Original cars that spent their entire lives with the same owner have become extremely desirable, and the owner of this 1965 Plymouth Barracuda hopes this specimen can sell for big dollars.

This 1970 Plymouth Cuda Is a Restored Gem With a Dirty Secret

Introduced a couple of weeks before the Ford Mustang, the Plymouth Barracuda was born as a pony and morphed into a fully-fledged muscle rig by the end of the decade. However, it didn't get the iconic 426-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) Hemi engine until 1970 (although Plymouth made a limited-run factory dragster in 1968).

I've always said that not liking a Shelby is impossible, even if you're a Chevrolet guy. These cars had everything you could ever want, beginning with gorgeous styling and ending with the performance under the hood.
