Very few Jews are converts. Mostly people are Jewish because because they were born into Judaism. Since Judaism is a race and an ethnicity, as well as a religion, you can't really quit being a Jew either. As we learned during the Holocaust, it doesn't matter how assimilated you are, they'll still find room for you on the trains to the camps.

It’s not really a choice. Jews are those born of a Jewish mother and a very, very extremely small number of converts usually after years of study and for a marriage.

To add to this, prior to October 7, most Israelis were not observant (practicing Jews) or anything.
Jews who aren’t converts can be traced through their mitochondria DNA. They may appear to be Chinese, Ethiopian, European, North African or whatever, but they share dna.

People who can't compete with Jews hate them the most. They have spent their lives watching Jews get better grades, better jobs, and better incomes. Now they fear being fired, and being replaced by more intelligent, better paid Jews who will perform their jobs faster, better, and with less effort.

Zionism began in the 19th Century in response to rising antisemitism in Europe. Despite trying to assimilate, Jews were still subject to discrimination and periodic pogroms. Since there was already a Jewish community in our ancestral home the idea was that if we fled Europe and moved back to Middle East maybe we’d be safer there. The Zionist program gained speed with the rise of the Nazis. As the storm clouds gathered more European Jews fled to Mandatory Palestine. If you called someone a “Palestinian” 100 years ago you meant they were a Jew. The local gentiles were called “Arabs”.

With the Holocaust the urgency of the Zionist project to create a safe haven for the Jews became more urgent. Israel was founded after the war to make sure it could never happen to us again.

If the Arabs would give up on their genocidal dream of eradicating Israel there would be peace in the Middle East. Get the Arabs to stop killing Jews and Israel will stop fighting back.

It’s not a “tribal” argument. There aren’t any Arabs posting here. It’s the Jews versus the bigots who hate us.
