🙄🤪 What are your biggest pet peeves? 🙄🤪

No, I just do NOT like this bullshit "holiday". It's commercialized like Mother's Day, but not as bad as Valentine's Day. Seriously, all my dad did on Father's Day was relax, cook a cheap ass steak while drinking a beer out of a little brown bottle, and tried to embarrass us by wearing socks with sandals!!!!

I said I do NOT like people who lose their shit when I tell them I don't celebrate the "holiday"!!!

Christ, READ THE ORIGINAL comment!!!
Is it really considered a “holiday”. All around the world, it is a day to appreciate somebody who you feel deserves a thank you. After your original comment, you also said

“It is as fake as Valentine's Day, where men are browbeat to purchase jewelry and other over-priced items. If you love someone, you don't need a day to remind you.

Same goes for Father's Day. And Mother's Day. You have only one mother and one father, unless you're lucky to have good relationships with steps. TELL THEM YOU LOVE THEM EVERY DAY!!!”

That is what my comment was referring to. Who are you to judge whether people do or don’t tell those around them that they love them every day or not. Most people I know, tell and show love quite a lot of the time but also show appreciation on days designated to show that appreciation.

And please do not reply to me in capital letters. Being angry at a stranger on the internet is not a way that a grown man should behave and I would hope that your father didn’t teach you to behave like that

Sorry, I must have hit a nerve!
I do NOT celebrate it. I don't like it when people other than my wife and my son wish me a happy father's day, but what really makes me wonder are people who get upset and try to rationalize my feelings on it.

Would you say the same things to me if I called Christmas was a fake holiday and I was an atheist? Probably not.

Listen, you can celebrate all you want, and that's fine. I just do NOT want others to wish me a happy Father's day then get bent out of shape because I tell them I do NOT celebrate it!!!!

That's my Pet Peeve!!!

I also enjoy MotherFuckers Day 😉

Geesh...let's see. My pet peeve is people who take the good will of others wishing them something good or happy, and squashing it because of their own beliefs and poor manners.

I don't do Halloween, and for many years, didn't participate in Christmas. I taught my children to say "thank you, have a lovely day!" for any well wishes they received, because it's teaching them good manners.

I guess I could have stood up in their face and screeched, "we don't celebrate!" - but, this seemed much more civilized.

I read the original.

That's not quite what you said...

People losing their shit when they wish me a Happy Father's Day, and I tell them "We don't celebrate fake ass Hallmark greeting card holidays"

The original chucked an insult in their general direction. It didn't just say you didn't celebrate it.

You could choose to just not celebrate it. But you actually choose not to celebrate it in a confrontational manner...

I spent all day on the phone telling people to stop it!
I was angry, and yes, and I should have said it was too commercialized now to be a holiday.

BUT the pet peeve is still people coming at me for not "enjoying" it or telling me I have daddy issues.

I'm not coming at you for that.

But if you're going to publicly tell people (irl or on here) that they're stupid for celebrating it, then expect people to bite back.

I don't celebrate it, but I don't feel the need to tell people they're stupid if they do 🤷🏼‍♂️

Where did I say "stupid"? Did I just imply?

Being on a cancellation call list and then they don’t call you when they have a cancellation.

Twits.
