Good morning all. Nothing like 100+ heat index to keep everyone inside. I know we are not the only State with this issue. Be careful!

To my friends up north, you are getting all the storms but hopefully you are cooler.

No great plans today. Just enjoying the indoors. Maybe a read and a baseball game.
 
Wat, sorry about Geezer. Them darn cats get under your skin…Wonderer, have a great time up in them thar hills with the lads you served with. Those friendships are special. Boat, don’t get in the water!
To all the others I couldn’t catch up on have a great weekend. Hopefully that High Pressure system sitting over most of the country holds and keeps the bad weather at bay..

Slow day today. Massive thunderstorms last night. Woke up at 4 to keep an eye on the wind and rain and lightning. Steady lightning for an hour. The another storm a few hours later. Flooding around us, highway is closed in a couple of places. We are no longer in near drought conditions. Garden doesn't need watering!

Looks like the cucumbers look like they took the worst of it, other stuff is still somewhat upright.

We had lows in the low 50's last night, but were heading into the mid 80's now. Looks like we won't miss this particular heat wave... :(

got to water all mine today...we had massive rain two days ago but the 90 degf+ drys thing out quickly

Storms stayed to the north of my area... we're set to break century-old records with high temps though.
