Just double checking.. should the "No killing any sentient beings" law only apply to humans, or what about the spiders killing all of those pesky flying pests..

Or the bears? Or the sharks.. or..

I mean, if we do not make some sort of arbitrary trivial limit, it would be an empty and nonsense thought right from the beginning.

And are you saying you wouldn't advocate for someone killing all sentient creatures being treated the same as if they'd killed a human if that country has the death penalty? Why should the life of the sentient creature be worth more to you in some countries than others? Either you're proposing parity or you're saying they're worth less

And I'll ask again. Where is your line for living creatures you'd give a life sentence / death sentence to someone for killing? Would you give a life sentence to a pest controller externinating rats outside a food establishment?

Well, in terms of justice, and in the eyes of European layers and judges, USA is definitely not on the frontline. And this is something that

I happen to know some who have researched the differences , and basically they said that we have nothing to learn from you in regards to law and justice.

Not that Europe has much to learn from USA in other areas either.

Every time I think I'm against capital punishment, I remember that there are absolute monsters out there that would disparage pineapple as a pizza topping.

Your list of barbaric practises is outdated by some 100 years, it's "conveniently" way too short.

Death sentence is barbaric. Even more so having it done with a very lacking judiciary system, ending up with innocent people being sentenced, too. So is how cops can be let off the hook after mishandling black people. Or how the supreme court gave president the immunity.

And I'm not even mentioning more current happenings. I leave that to the politics section.
