My dad has a sailboat and without fail every time he lets me drive or whatever I do on a boat.o go round and round..

I've done a tiny bit of sailing. I prefer powerboats, better control. I have an old lady pontoon boat but it has a 115 Yamaha on the back of it! I love it!

When mother died, my sister and I had the feeling of relief. We felt the burden she had irrationally imposed on us was lifted.

Sadly, I didn't really feel anything when my mom died. I had detached from her many years before.

Weird cool summer here. High of about 64 yesterday, finished mowing the lawn and I was freezing. Low of 46 last night.

We got into the 50s last night. Clouds started rolling in. There won't be any moon pics tonight. It was much cooler at 72° today. We will have 40s overnight, 60s tomorrow. I'm baking!

I was once in Rome, on an evening food tour, with several Americans in our group. The audible mass intake of breath, when our guide explained that Alfredo was no more authentic italian than peanut butter and jelly, is a moment that still makes me laugh to this day. One, unpleasantly loud, woman even had the temerity to ask the guide if he was sure he had his facts right.

It got up to 99 yesterday. Should only hit 86 today before getting back up to 93 tomorrow!

I take my mom to her church and they’re all the new stuff…doesn’t hit right with me. Nothing against it as they all seem to like it. Here’s the difference…had an uncle that died back in ‘04. His funeral music was all old hymns out of the Baptist Hymnal. I could sing every one by memory…never even picked up the book. Just say’n…

BTW…I was looking into him after your suggestion and he’s now in rotation on my Pandora…

It rained on and off all day (thunderstorm woke me up around 4ish this morning) so didn’t have to clean the garage! I win…well, sort of…she gave another indoor job of shredding junk mail that’s piled up for 6 months…didn’t get to go fishing…so…might be a 1/2 point for me? I’m still claiming victory though!

Today is another day, and that woman has proven to be tenacious when it comes to putting me to work on a project she’s determined that I finish….

Again woke up at 230. This time the old dog needed to go out. I took a Tylenol as the pain seemed better than yesterday. I have a video call with the doctor on Friday and hoping to get the PT started.
