Revise the secure the border act and add more immigration judges to its scope. That immediately freezes up wasted resources at the border for other activities like deportation.

I've brought this up multiple times.

Deport criminal illegals with proper due process as able not just to hit numbers.

Make a serious attempt to address DACA and establish a path to citizenship for migrants who have made positive contributions to the country.

Or just cry about sanctuary cities and celebrate dehumanizing migrants.

I once went through an e-Verify process with a large company I worked for but I really don’t know what employers are required to do. Might be a function of size of the business. I doubt my local dry cleaner worries about immigration status of the 3 employees they have. Obviously businesses employ millions of undocumenteds. ICE is primarily on point for enforcement.

I do know that undocumented residents in California can receive government benefits.
