You haven't taste my one. But it depends on what direction you go for pizza. The US versions are quiet different

google "best pizza in the USA". You will find that for several years, PORTLAND, OR is rated as #1
so quit yer bias
I’ll say this. I’ve had pizza in NYC a thousand times. Always classic traditional pizza.

None of that artisanal “bohemian light an incense stick in your ass” pizza is art shit that they sell in Portland has EVER come close to the sheer gastronomic joy I have felt eating a classic at Sal &Carmines in NYC

I am a New York native and do love the pizza, but the best pizza is in New Haven, Connecticut. If you haven't visited the Holy Triumvirate of Sally's. Pepe's and Modern, you haven't experienced the best. There was even a documentary made about these places, (Which, by the way, correctly refer to it as Apizza)

Thoughts:

"crispy katsu" in a ramen bowl is not something id advise, its jsut going to get soggy quick unless you attack thatf irst and foremost.
I usually go for a black garlic ramen bowl with tonkotsu, so you get a nice slice of pork in the ramen, but no it isnt cripsy. But pork belly is so yummy.

Sushi burrito. Had one once only. Not my thing. Sushi is...one of my top two fave things...but...not in that format.
Next time you're in Seattle, assuming your Sea visits are downtown, head to the International District. On the West side of the Uwajimaya building there's a home in the wall Ramen shop called Samurai Noodle. You won't be disappointed.

Also, next time you're up here, head to Everett, Mill Creek or Mukilteo and try Brooklyn Bros. Pizza. True NY style pizzas, named after the Boroughs.

My wife grew up in New Jersey and loves it.

Come on Kit - you know that I know that you know that NYC pizza forever destroys west coast pizza
Ive had some NYC pizza. It was delicious.
You can find great pizza in most any city around the country.
That said, some people prefer Detroit style or Chicago style (I dont personally but they can be tasty for sure).
As for me, yeah sorry, Im from Italy. Ill take Naples FTW all day, every single day of the week.

I agree re Naples. I had pretty amazing pizza there. I thought we were confining comparisons to the US.

But yes absolutely, I have had mind blowing pizza in Rome, Florence, Naples and Venice - way better than NYC. Hard no on Chicago and Detroit style pizza.
