Good morning, and I hope YOU have a wonderful day!
I've had a great time today thanks! A day off from work, doing some cords at home and then took my motorcycle for some small shopping. It's more fun than by car and easier to park in the city.
funny how i dont post a pic for a day or two and my thread basically dies and i get asked for more content.
as if i dont post often enough, some days posting several photos or videos. yes some is older content/reposts but with new followers, i tend to recycle some.
it takes time and effort to take pics i think are ok.

work comes before lit...
I know you like F1 and today was free practice at Imola. I came to think that it was 30 years ago (30 april 1995) that I were there to watch F1. My first and only time to see F1 and it was a great memory to sit among the Italians when Ferrari finished second and third. Their best finish in a long time and they celebrated like Ferrari had won the race! The Lambrusco flooded and the bottles were passed around.
Great memories!

And thoughts of you healthy and happy, whether at work or at rest come before thoughts of pics of you on Lit.

Every time.

waaaah I wasnt born then...
Glad you got to go though. Imola usually isnt great race, I def prefer Monza to it int erms of Italian races...though we have to go way back in history to find the Italian races at other tracks/cities.

I think the draw of Imola now is due to the infamous Tamburello curve, which has lost some it's danger due to the last reprofiling before F1 returned to it. Had Senna and Ratzenberger not died that weekend, I'm not sure it would be a memorable track.

It's too narrow for the cars now. Most tracks are, let's be honest. But a race is a race, so I'll watch it.

Monza is the one I look forward to every year as well. Parabolica is the definition of committed and you can tell who trusts the car, who is driving the car, and who isn't by the speed trap, and by when they brake for turn 1.

It does not have the historical aura as Monza, Spa, Nurburgring or Monaco. But it has provide some trilling races over the years I think.
Yes, a race is a race and it's up to the drivers skills to keep the car on the track.

Monza is a great track! I'll look forward to the day when some crazy man with too much money rebuild the other half of the track again and make it safe.
It would be very interesting to see how they'd set up the cars for half a track road course and half a track oval course. :)

I think back to Indianapolis 2005 and what happened on the banking there. I doubt Pirelli would want to risk that.

Since they've been racing F1 at Indianapolis after that tire problems, I don't think that will stop them. I'd say it would be money and new safety rules that is the problem.

I think they only ran in 06 after that to finish it the contract, didn't they?

It was a Michelin problem anyway, but whether they would want to take the risk again would remain to be seen.

You can only make a track like that so safe.

07 was the last race. Lewis Hamilton was the winner.

I love Q3 shootouts like that. Tight margins up top leaving you guessing as to who is going to pull out that last hundredth to claim pole.

I'm curious as to what the stewards explanation is going to be for not reinstating Bearman's time though.

Welcome to the weekend. Been super busy with friends in town. Time to catch up and hope you are having a great weekend so far.

Hi Kit, do you have big weekend plans? On a side note, we (Chicago area) had a huge dust storm last night. I believe it has not happened since 1934. It was crazy
Nothing too major. Gonna see some family. Went out for sushi last night with a friend. Got asked out on a date for tonight (just a first date) so we will see how that goes. Some chores/errands stuff. Gym. Groceries. F1. Doggie time.

Dust storm!? Yikes hope alls ok!
