Smoke-filled, flannel optional (Gen X Lounge)

Same, I watched it because when it first came out, it was the movie to go see..
But I never remained interested..
Love Star Wars, remember Watching the Empire Strikes Back in the cinema on its release over here, can't remember where I saw the original. Had all the action figures when I was a kid and now I'm collecting the comics and Lego sets even have t-shirts and watch all the new Disney+ stuff🤪🤪

Star Wars was a huge part of my childhood, even in the pre-VHS days. They still hold a special place in my heart and head, though mostly nostalgic.

My Dad was a big Star Trek fan, so I begrudgingly watched those reruns, was disappointed in the first movie and then fell in love after Wrath of Khan.

I watched these a lot and never figured out ( or maybe just can't remember now) the actual big reason for their adventures. Like, why were they racing through space and fighting those villains?

Great list!

Star Blazers/SBY the crew were going to a planet in order to get a device to rebuild the ravaged Earth, it was the Aliens chasing them, trying to stop them from completing their task.

In G-Force/Battle of the Planets (Team Gatchaman in Japan for the original series I had forgotten to mention) there were some errors in the order the Episodes were shown outside of Japan, so it kind of threw the timeline off, but it was a Federation of Planets, and they were protecting the Federated Planets from the Invaders.

The live action movie for Space Battleship Yamamoto was rather decent.

Cool all around with the cartoons but I will just watch old Screaming Trees videos.

Thanks for this. I either didn't know or had forgotten

Happy Friday, folks!

Hope the end of your week holds something worth celebrating. I'm longing for the warm college Friday afternoons spent on my college house steps and patios, with friends and strangers enjoying a keg or three just... because

I walked past the used record shop I used to hang out in while in college the other day. I was sad to see that it's now closed. So many hours were spent in there with friends just hanging out, browsing, and laughing. Then we'd go outside and smoke cigarettes because we thought we were the coolest lol.

Records stores is where it was at and I have spent so many hours and money on cds and lps. Even zines and books and shirts. There are still a handful where I live but mostly specialize in fancy overpriced 180g vinyl. Occasionally still find some gems.

Don’t forget, stealing flyers for your flyer collection!
