My wife 'Lady K' takes 'Duragesic'..a fentanyl derivative for her advanced scoliosis and twisted spine. It works very well. And now I am high from the pain pill so time to close my eyes and go to sleep
I'm glad Lady K has found something that works well for her.My wife 'Lady K' takes 'Duragesic'..a fentanyl derivative for her advanced scoliosis and twisted spine. It works very well.
You're new here, AS, so if you haven't gotten our welcoming message we give to ALL newcomers, here it is, courtesy of MissK:Nearly as spectacular as your boobs Liliana!
Have a safe trip..Getting sleepy, and tomorrow will be a long day. Traveling tomorrow. May or may not be checking in for a day or two...
I love this, NC! What an astute assessment of management. It's all about people skills. Some have them; some don't. The unfortunate thing is that when companies promote from within, they tend to promote good workers without giving them education on management of others. It's a soft skill that not many possess innately.First, you need better dirty secrets!
Now the boring bit. Managing people is one of the most difficult jobs there is because people are complex. A team is just a group of individuals working towards a common goal. To make a team function effectively you need to understand the real-life issues and personal motivations of the individuals. That means investing time in getting to know people and showing that you understand their issues. Sometimes it means being honest with someone that your company/department is unlikely to be able to meet their goals and helping them move on.
As for teambuilding exercises, my experience is that your best option is to periodically, no more than once a quarter, one of which is a Christmas party, pay for a night out of low level entertainment involving food and drink. Get them together for a couple of hours to let their hair down and then carry on. I attended numerous 'professional' teambuilding' events full of unimaginative ideas and slogans and never saw one that was better than showing co-workers that you understood their life/work balance and were honest with them.
Now, back to pics of peoples flowers![]()
Can I be on your team, G?I agree entirely… a night out and a few drinks works wonders. I also used to do “fish and chip Friday.” One o clock every week we just got a big order in and all sat in the boardroom and chatted about anything not work related! Best team building ever!
Pictures, please!Ours was orange as it rose over the hill… gorgeous.
And well done for getting to the gym @Lilianna23
I get that! Not all team events are created equal!Ok... I was ready to be done though
They're beautiful, K! I love them!
I should schedule a massage. I used to get one on a regular basis.Good morning all. I woke at 430 am due to sinus pressure again. I have done everything to prevent it except sleep upright in a chair. A recliner may be in my future.
Speaking of dentist, I have my regular teeth cleaning and hope for no issues. Later I have a massage. Now some like Lilli, have a personal trainer, whereas I prefer the strong hands of a woman masseuse.
Have a great day.
Take some ibuprofen or other pain reliever before you go in. It will help.Thank you all for the wonderful replies to my tooth situation. The oral surgeon was recommending the root canal, and since the "experts" on here agree, I think that is the path I shall travel.
Will do!Send pics when they start blooming!
What would happen if you just did the same work as the others?I would be a terrible manager....
I would occasionally like to win at something and for my manager to not always take the option where underperformers aren't Molly coddled and given every opportunity to continue be an underperformer...
And where the option she pics doesn't cause me to have to do more work and for them to do less
Oral surgery is always fraught because the mouth is full of filthy, and sometimes deadly, bacteria. This is why it's so imperative to follow aftercare instructions. There was a guy that died down here from an infection after getting a root canal but I guess that could happen getting an implant.
Poor puppy!I suffered thru allergies for a long time and would get painful sinus headaches. Then along came pseudoephedrine. I would take one in the moring and could litterally feel my sinuses drain. It also turned out that the allergy was our Old English Sheep Dog.
