Nice moon, lil!Caught up early again tonight!
I'm so tired! I had gym today; my trainer really made me WORK! Then I had some errands to run afterwards.
It's cold and overcast again tonight. No chance to see the full moon tonight. I hope wherever you are, you get a glimpse!️
Here's a picture I took previously.

I would be a terrible manager....I thought that was a juicy secret!
You are correct on all accounts. Being a manager is a tough, all encompassing and thankless task. At worst it can be like babysitting. At best tho it can be rewarding to see you team members grow, and see the team grow. Some teams operate like well oiled machines. I am on a small but really highly functioning team w a great boss.
Some mangers are not cut out for the task, some are marking time to retirement. They can create toxic environments.
I designed and ran our company’s leadership and management. Development training for about six years, and I got so burnt out on doing training classes, leadership assessments that really only 10-20% of people took seriously and worked on things and had strong development plans. 10-20% were totally checked out and just prisoners in a training class or taking an at work “vacation.” And the rest were somewhere in the middle.
I just didn’t see enough changes. Maybe it was me. I went into a business development role and haven’t looked back. I don’t miss my HR daze a bit.
There was a guy that died down here from an infection after getting a root canal but I guess that could happen getting an implant.I got a roor canal once never again
Ended up in ER with a pick line in me for a week from infection
I went and saw him
He said you’re not going to hit me are you
I said no but my husband might he’s in the waiting room
Guess who didn’t go out there
I lived in Edison for a few years and took the bus in everyday and then a nice subway ride down to Wall St. Fun times. Good to hear you got some time with your daughter! On the bus to NYC today. Been heads down all week. It feels like it should be Thursday or Friday but it ain’t.
My joke is that I’m on the bus to NYC flying into Newark airport (which is basically shut down), via route 80 (closed in two places due to sinkholes) on a NJ Transit train which is going to literally go on strike literally any minute today….
But I am on a bus and already halfway into the city.
Been heads down for work. It’s sure keeping me busy.
Last night I had dinner with my daughter. Was really nice to get some 1-1 time to really catch up. She is very excited that her 12u volleyball team made it to the national tournament in June. They’re quite good!
I suffered thru allergies for a long time and would get painful sinus headaches. Then along came pseudoephedrine. I would take one in the moring and could litterally feel my sinuses drain. It also turned out that the allergy was our Old English Sheep Dog.Yes, horrible allergies.
But only between February and December.![]()
I died once from getting a Q-tip stuck in my ear, so nothing is 100% safe. There was a guy that died down here from an infection after getting a root canal but I guess that could happen getting an implant.
I wish the drugs helped. I'm glad it works for you!I suffered thru allergies for a long time and would get painful sinus headaches. Then along came pseudoephedrine. There looks to be some new folks in the group...Nearly as spectacular as your boobs Liliana!
Pizza every Friday. Same idea...I agree entirely… a night out and a few drinks works wonders. I also used to do “fish and chip Friday.” One o clock every week we just got a big order in and all sat in the boardroom and chatted about anything not work related! Best team building ever!
I'm not a Dr, and all the legal disclaimer stuff. But over the counter nasacort helps some...Good morning all. I woke at 430 am due to sinus pressure again. I have done everything to prevent it except sleep upright in a chair. A recliner may be in my future.
Thank you OM. After all the virtual caffeine i now feel able to get moving
I think you’d be a great manager. You have a excellent BS detectorI would be a terrible manager....
I would occasionally like to win at something and for my manager to not always take the option where underperformers aren't Molly coddled and given every opportunity to continue be an underperformer...
And where the option she pics doesn't cause me to have to do more work and for them to do less
Glad you got an early night... sounds like you may have needed some additional down time after that workout at the gym.Caught up early again tonight!

Some hard truths dropped this morning.First, you need better dirty secrets!
Now the boring bit. Managing people is one of the most difficult jobs there is because people are complex.
Beautiful!
Thank you to our Foreign Office for stepping in when there was an unsanctioned meeting of the 3am Club. You are feeling veeeery sleeeepy
I can so relate, @Oldermom935. Thank you for the morning memes.
Speaking of dentist, I have my regular teeth cleaning and hope for no issues.
Good luck moving forward on the tooth sitch.Thank you all for the wonderful replies to my tooth situation. The oral surgeon was recommending the root canal, and since the "experts" on here agree, I think that is the path I shall travel.
Lovely - so glad you got a chance to connect again.Last night I had dinner with my daughter. Was really nice to get some 1-1 time to really catch up. She is very excited that her 12u volleyball team made it to the national tournament in June. They’re quite good!
Same. I've been told I have high standards.I would be a terrible manager....

Every procedure has its horror stories. While they don't get as much good publicity... every procedure has its success stories, too. There was a guy that died down here from an infection after getting a root canal but I guess that could happen getting an implant.
I died once from getting a Q-tip stuck in my ear, so nothing is 100% safe.
I am now Zombie Crankbait.
I know a lot of the success stories, I have had a few. An implant and a root canal. The root canal was a great success, the technician had the dentist ask me if I was interested. I was but I was also married. I am sure she knew but I will keep it a secret how she knew. Then you can add on 3 major surgeries if you do not count tonsils. I had never heard on about a root canal goiing bad but obviously it can happen.
I would suffer for our pup too. We have had 7 over the years. We have a Shih Tzu now not an OES. I wish you the best, allergies suck. My grand daughter turns red if she goes into a house that has a cat.I wish the drugs helped. I'm glad it works for you!
My reactions aren't what people normally think of with allergies, and unfortunately this is a bit more complex than just popping a pill. We've tried them all, with little to no benefit. (OK, prednisone works, but I'm hesitant to use it long term).
The last major discovery was the office chair I was using had post consumer material (recycled) that was most likely contaminated with mold. It was making me sick. But that's only one of dozens of thinghts...
When this old pup goes I'm pretty sure she'll be our last. I'm sure she isn't helping things. She's part of the family and she stays until she's passes on.
Looks pretty seriousMy Ohio weather report map

The forecast keeps promising rain here... can't come soon enough. With warm days that showed up early... so, too, the wildfires. I think we're up to 3 major blazes right now. Several days of Red Flag warnings for fire conditions as well as Air Quality Warnings - as much for the smoke as the high pollen counts. For those of you in the southern Mid-Atlantic, the rain has been nice. But...the humidity today feels like a swamp.
Stay safe, Rj... some of those look to be intenseMy Ohio weather report map
Mrs. Mitt doesn't have a ticklish bone in her body. It's a huge source of disappointment our togetherness as I am a giant flirt, teaser, handsy person. *SighThat would be heavenly!!
Alas, I've had professional massage therapists work on me, then refund my money. I'm so ticklish that massages put more knot in than they remove.![]()
