The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

The past six or seven weeks on the job have been solid meetings in preparation for two large projects that are hitting at the same time.

Today I worked from home and blocked my calendar. I got so much shit done
W NO MEETINGS and NO DISTRACTIONS!

Plus, a person who is out on sick leave finally came back who is going to make a critical presentation for my team, and it was good to get that date set. And also glad they are healthy, recovering and back to work.

Had some good news on a new product that I have been responsible for almost a year now. It got through two major committees at work and my boss is presenting it for the final approval next week.

And I got the back lawn mowed tonight after dinner. As @likes2watchU says: put that in the win column.
Sometimes it is good to sit back and count your blessings!

Good morning diners. I see familiar faces (avatars?). I will post a few wildflower pictures as soon as I can resize them. We had a wonderful walk yesterday on our friends acreage.

Today is a breakfast and lunch with friends. I plan to take pics of a quaint village as well.

A beautiful spring day is forecast as well.

doubtful
more likely "time balancing"
regardless, I won't find out until sometime next week - once my manager figures out how to handle it.
So much for using the time productively - say for an oil change. My mechanic is routinely booked a min. of 10 days out.
Hoping the install went well last night. Fingers crossed. 🤞🤞🤞

He does sleep most of the day. He was good last night. I heard him once grumble that I had made his sleeping blanket which is too neat for him. He had to adjust it which made him grumble. 🤣
😂

Mine comes over a paws me to let me know there is a wrinkle in her's. I have to straighten it out. But sometimes she wants me to cover her up because she's chilly. She's found little ways to tell me which she wants. Since she's old, I let her get away with it.

Believe it or not, they said that the polar cap is growing much to the chagrin of climate change.
The ice melt and growth. It's all cyclical, nobody can predict it. They can't even predict weather in an hour...
You are soooo accurate in calling it "cyclical!" .... as it was waaaaay before humans were driving cars or cooking with NatGas...

I caught up early in the day while I was waiting on hold with SSA to make an appointment. Nearly FIVE hours on hold and I still didn't get to talk to anyone. 😖😤 I hung up a bit after 7 since the website said agents were available until then. I would have had better luck if I had taken myself down to the office and waited in line to get in. 🤬 I did get some things done in my office I needed to do. And shopped.

I did not get my grass mowed which I wanted to do so that is first on the agenda for this weekend. I hope I get it done before it rains.

I'll also be picking up the honeymooners sometime but I don't know when yet.

It's the weekend now! I hope it's a good one for all! These are starting to pop up! Calla lilies, my favorite flower! 💖✨💞

So I sort of got my Lit career started by visiting the visual arts threads in the Playground. Met some photog’s and artists over there and much like my running MZ themes, I’d pick an artist or theme and go with it till I got tired of it or the thread shifted gears. Georgia O’Keeffe was an artist I circled back to frequently. Not only is her work stunning but we visited Santa Fe a lot when my wife and I were dating and after we were married. I see the pic is not an O’Keeffe so you’re tempting me…so so tempting…😁

I haven’t got the Low Country out of my system yet…so you’re stuck w it!

Didn't seem to grow much this year.

they get paid a lot
Don't fret, they'll be put out to pasture and the datasets won't be updated. It's just better not to know what's really going on.

Science? We don't need no stink'n science.

Urgh, I have chronic pain in my back and in my feet. Yesterday both flared up so I couldn’t sit and I couldn’t stand.

I am gardening and doing farm work today so hopefully it won’t bother me too much.
I hate getting double teams like that. No fun at all. I hope sleep* calmed them both enough for your Farm Therapy Plan (FTP) to work. 🫂

Edited: *typo
