Good morning perky party people. Hope you all enjoyed your Friday night weekend appetisers.

Washing up is done and I have prepared breakfast.

I have taken oat milk (how does one milk an oat?), polenta, tofu, quinoa, sunflower, flax and poppy seeds...and put them all in the trash, where they belong. Sausage, eggs and bacon are available, along with hash browns, tomatoes and mushrooms. Oh, and fresh coffee too!

Boy, there was this place on the roadside near towcester that had the best English breakfast for 5£. It was a memorable meal!!!

So…panel is fine…nothing tripped so I know it’s downstream somewhere. So after we left after supper, momma says all the lights were working again? So either I fiddled with something and it “fixed” it or there’s definitely a short. So I told her, don’t touch anything till we get the electrician over. No GFI’s either but one plug should be a GFI…

A GFI receptical can be set up to protect several other outlets down stream. So when the GFI trips it could be because of a fault at another outlet.

A GFI receptical can be set up to protect several other outlets down stream. So when the GFI trips it could be because of a fault at another outlet.

Also, setting a GFI up to protect multiple downstream outlets puts a strain on it. It can weaken prematurely and cause your issues. My money is an overlooked GFI.

I’m still thinking breaker, unless HDH and or his wife did something to reset the GFI.

But I am not an electrician and pretty much don’t know what the fuck I am talking about!

Occasionally, this circuit breaker doesn't fully trip. It might mean the circuit breaker is faulty or something was plugged in. They tripped it, but sometimes they'll only move a 10th of an inch and you resetting it. I've probably fixed it temporarily, but it may go off again

When I go over today I’ll flip the whole box. I think I’m going to just replace that suspect receptacle and see if that works. I should have done that to start with but I had just bought a new outlet tester and was itching to use that!

Starting a repot of a juniper that was meant to be a bonsai but it ended up in a pot and became a yard ornament for 15-20 yrs. Going to start the process of making it a true bonsai today…if I can find the right pot. I’ll post some pics of the process if I can remember to bring the phone.

So 30+ yrs ago my parents put an extension on the house. He added a bank of receptacles and switches but the outlets aren’t GFI…they probably should be, and can almost guarantee by code they’d have to be today. I think if the initial box fix as Oldermom suggested doesn’t work and my replacement outlet doesn’t work, I’ll stick one in.

Oh the electrician didn’t make it yesterday. I think I may have misunderstood him…he’s coming NEXT Thursday or Friday…
