I've communicated with and known some later life ladies. :) But they disappear if the subject of sex comes up. :(
(and I don't even address sex libido until we've at least gotten to know each other for a while!)

I know you were asking MWP but I hope it's ok to jump in here. Kindness and respect are very enticing. Quiet confidence is incredibly sexy. Attentiveness and genuine interest in her are definitely good! If she likes to dance, take her dancing!

That's a run of bad luck, sorry to hear that. Maybe those ladies were looking for platonic friendship, I don't know. Good on ya for being a gentleman and getting to know a lady first.

I can say with confidence that women near menopause can have very high libido. Docs back me up on this. Lit has many ladies in that age group. Perhaps Lit personals might have ladies looking for an emotional and possibly physical connection with a mature and experienced man? No idea if you've looked there or not.

As you may already know, sex can become uncomfortable or even painful for postmenopausal women as estrogen falls. Their desire can wane as hormone levels drop. Both issues can be addressed if that's something she wants to change. Hormone replacement therapy, estrogen creams, lots of lube, and more gentle foreplay can all help. Being with a patient and understanding partner can help tremendously! Feeling safe and cared for and unafraid can really help women let go and get wild! Later in life too.

That may be more than you were asking for but perhaps it will provide hope and some actionable ideas.

[edit] I don't know how you bring up sexual intimacy with the ladies. If you can hold hands first, then kiss later, that could make asking about sex easier, more natural. I know some people move much faster but if she's been out of the game a while or just likes a slower pace, slower may feel better. And I can't recommend dancing enough! It's physical! It's sexy! It's a great gauge of how she feels about physical contact and romantic interaction! You don't even have to be a great dancer. A basic slow dance is plenty romantic! I may be biased. I *love* dancing. Hubs made good use of that. ;)
