The art of letter writing seems to be gone…

My first go round in the army, everything was still old school. Letters, mail call, care packages, and the lake.

Second round, everyone had laptops, email or at least access to a video phone every so often. There were still mail call, but mostly care packages.

I love writing letters!
I don't know if I should post this or not, but I'll gladly delete it if it crosses any lines...
I write "love notes" and SJEs (slave journal entries) to my Lovely Wife all the time...
...it's just something one does when they give themselves to one completely.

My new handgun came with 1 whole magazine. One. How generous. So I found some high performance mags from an aftermarket supplier and ordered three of them.

36 rounds should be about double what I would need under the worst of circumstances . . . .
6 in my revolver... 180 for the AR. The revolver is to get myself to the AR... I figure that should allow me to extricate myself from most things that I might need to.

This is a good idea, since much of the cheap stuff is imported and will probably rise in cost over the next few months. I should lay in a couple more spam cans myself. I have an AK and an SKS to feed on occasion.
I still kick myself in the ass for not buying a Dragunov when they were more affordable... I've got lots of feed for them.

So the village just took over the cemetery because all the people that did run it have passed away. There is some landscaping that will need to be done in addition to mowing....

Asking for a friend... if said friend volunteers to do the landscaping and there are peonies that said friend doesn't have and said friend takes a small piece for my..err her yard is that okay???

Or is it weird.... for me...err her
My dad was a very humble man... NOBODY knew who mowed Old Lake Graveyard and stood the headstones back up that the crackheads knocked over.

This Traveling Rig I have right now is 40 rounds of .45ACP and 120 rounds of .223/5.56. Handgun gets me to the rifle.

Got to the work city. It'll be a quiet night in and then a busy week out there.

Root some replacements.

When I sell out of the Back East house, the azaleas and hostas comes with me. Maybe the knockout roses, too.

Place was weeds when I found it.
I had a condo in the early 2000s. One of my biggest regrets is not taking some of the flowers I planted.... specifically a cream colored Japanese iris my mom bought me.....

Mom gave me the big azaleas from rootings from her old house. The picture I posted earlier is my favorite. There are two 6' roses in the back yard which I intend to keep also. Fat and happy. They will be pruned and then transplanted Out West to keep doing what they do.

A lot of my plants were given to me... I have lots of peonies and the most beautiful pink irises... some hydrangea.... I love to see things pop through the dirt in the spring... I always think " go me.... I didn't kill you last year"...haha

Yep, I'm pleased when my stuff - plants-n-critters - don't croak.

I passed a couple of horse trailers this afternoon. One had on the tailgate: "My best friend is riding in here, so please pass carefully." I did. I was going to anyway. Wat has a rule: don't scare the poodles. The other one has a long brown nose with a white streak looking at me. Of course, it reminded me of Somebody.
