Wow, what a buzzkill. It's a bit overcast, the wind is blowing a bit, and it sprinkled a little earlier, the smell in the air was wonderful! So I open the french doors... love that smell...
...and my landscaper who also does my neighbor's house shows up over there (she has him do a whole lot more stuff than I do, and has a gorgeous yard because of it)... and starts in. So... doors have to get closed up because those stupid blowers, and cut grass is going to set my allergies off for sure. It was nice for a little while this morning though.
I made this this morning specifically for @Dayhoosier to say "you got this!!" but alas, the moment has passed.

It was so nice and peaceful... the birds are still out there singing away...

We had the first consistently sunny day for a while yesterday... so every landscaper on the block showed up simultaneously. The noise and gas fumes were overpowering.

Oh, I love dogs climbing into bed with me. Everytime I visit my mom, all the dogs... well, it's only one now, it was 4... anyway, they always would pile into bed with me every night and I would just be the happiest, if not slightly uncomfortable, person in the worldAlthough... Our dog never quite mastered the stairs. But suddenly at age seven he got tired of being alone at night with the cats sleeping upstairs with us and wants to sleep there too. He's still clumsy and a bit timid but this old dog learned a new trick on his own. We're going to buy him an upstairs bed so we don't have to drag his existing one upstairs every night.
