Why since the Industrial Revolution have Better Minds sought sanctuary in more remote places, away from the dreck and dismal nature and over-crowding of big cities and industrial enclaves, moving instead to remote areas with wildernesses and unspoiled - or at least less spoiled - vistas of quiet and solitude and fresh air? And why do so many Average Minds seem to cling to those places? Is it because they crave the approval of like-"minded" others so they can talk about apps and media and other people to flesh out their vapid existences? One really cannot call them "lives," after all.


Keep your dreck, your teeming squalor, your shallow approach to Life by cheapening the experience with social chatter. Natter on, run your mouths, rewatch episodes of Friends for the 458th time. Wallow in the mire. There are so many more things to experience.
