I was thinking high school sports (see the book Friday Night Lights), minor league baseball, and the Rangers (I grew up going to see all those horrible pre-Nolan teams), but take your point.

There's too many options anymore. It was great when there were only a couple options that had a lot of variety. Now there's a plethora of streaming options, none excel in their options via content so you're left looking at the scraps they offer and deciding on the best of the worst or forking out more money than a cable subscription to get all the options which nullifies the original allure of streaming services to begin with.

I lost 8 pounds once, playing both ends of a doubleheader in Florida. winter water pounds. but still! I WAS FREAKING SOAKED WITH SWEAT! even my chest protector was soaked, I don't remember the temp but it was high and we had the humidity to match.Also, I was playing NCAA div 3 ball and most of the teams at the facility we were staying hat were Div.1 or 2. sweating like that is bad enough. sweating while getting you ass kicked on a daily basis is even worse. In 7 days in Orlando, I think we played ten games. And we headed back to Iowa with like a 3-7 record.

I do mean football, but when talking with someone from Texas, prob gotta specify "soccer". That said, you know the word "soccer" is technically a word the English came up with to describe "football"...the term "association football" was shortened to "assoc." and then, following the Oxford slang trend, further shortened to "assoccer" and then "soccer".

I definitely agree with the road situation. The roads here are the most confusing bullshit I've ever seen.
