The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

THank you. The landlady and I have discussed cultivating a chunk of the pasture.

We will require lotsa Roma maters for Wonderer Gravy.
Good news is that tomatoes don’t need that much room. Some people grow em in five gallon buckets (recommend to use food grade buckets). But you can put em right in the ground, or in raised beds.

They like it dry.

I'm planning it on the high point of the pasture. Drainage, you see.

Cattle panels to keep the goats out.

Sounds idyllic!! Horses goats and gardens.

Self sufficiency.

Headed in that direction. That's the idea.

Horses have strange appetites. Geezer Poodle ate the bark off a tree once and killed it. They have to be kept away from Growing things we wish to keep.

I want to be able to remove the end panels so I can drive the Next Generation of tractor with Attachment(s) trough the fence in order to plow.

That'll beat a #2 shovel for turning clods . . . .

I'm the same. The only beets I knew growing up came in a can. They are vile! 🤢
Maybe I'm weird. I've always enjoyed the foods that a lot of people don't like.
The wife hates a lot of the food I would choose to eat. Some stuff like sauerkraut makes me feel better when I eat it...

A few more hours and the wife can take her heart monitor holter test thingy off. She's really itching for a shower!

You ever seen them grown upside down? Cut a hole in the bucket, plant them through some burlap hanging out of the hole. Then you hang the bucket up. I'm tempted to try it some time.

We had one in a big pot in the house. Had tomatoes for several years from it, although they slow down during the winter.

Just my thoughts about our rules on religion and politics:
Criminals hiding behind a “religion or creed” are fair game. Being spiritual like Zen or praising God, is OK as it’s not about advocating one’s religion or faith nor disparaging another’s. Correct me if you disagree or I am wrong.

Politics is getting complicated. I will rant later.
I think it is ok to say thank God or send morning zen or thank Allah or whatever..
Politics are tricky because people are polarized.... I have my opinions and let's be honest other people do too...we are unlikely to change eachothers minds... so probably best to keep that very general....
We are all respectful of eachother and if it gets out of hand we always have a few on here that are good mediators ......
